The WLAN model (Lenovo YT3-850F) does not have a Micro SIM card slot.
You can use pe ncils or metal -tipped pens w ith a tip diamete r of 0.7 mm or above,
includ ing fountain pe ns, rollerba ll pens, and som e ballpoint pen s, to write and draw
on the scr een or perfo rm auxilia ry touch oper ations. Spec ial tip: There is a r isk of
scratch ing the screen s lightly if you a pply too much pr essure when w riting or use
a pen tip th at is too hard.
!!! Do not ins ert your fing er into the hangi ng hole. Doin g so might hurt y our finger.

Preparing your tablet
You can use cellular services with the LTE model ( LenovoYT3-850L/Lenovo YT3-850M)
by inserting the Micro SIM card provided by your carrier.
Install the Micro SIM cardand the microSD cardas shown.
Step 1. Press the push button to open
the kickstand.
Step 2. Open the card slot cover.
Insert the Micro SIM card and
microSD card and then install
the card slot cover back.
Step 3. Push back the kickstand.
Only Micro SIM card works with your tablet.
!!! DO not insert or remove the Micro SIM card while your tablet is turned on. Doing
so can permanently damage your Micro SIM card or tablet.

Starting to use your tablet
Before using your tablet, you might need to charge the battery. Charge the battery as
shown.
Connect your tabletto a power outlet using the included cable and USB power adapter.

Turn on: Press and hold th e On/Off button until th e
Lenovo logo appears.
Tur n off : Press and hold th e On/Off button for a few
secon ds, then tap Power off.
Restart: Press an d hold the On/Of f button for a few
secon ds, then tap Restart. To force res tart your ta blet,
press a nd hold the power b utton until the t ablet vibra tes.
Taking screenshots
Press and hold the On/Off button and the volume down button at the same time.
Using the rotating camera
Allowa ble function al range of the ro tating camer a is
shown on t he left.
Don't over-rot ate the camera to avo id its damage.

Prevent hearing damage
Your device has a headphone connector. Always use the headphone connector for
headphones (also called a headset) or earphones.
CAUTION:
Exces sive sound pr essure fro m earphone s and headph ones can cau se hearing
loss. A djustment o f the equaliz er to maximu m increase s the earpho ne and
headp hone output vo ltage and th e sound pres sure level. Th erefore, to p rotect
your hea ring, adju st the equali zer to an appr opriate leve l.
Excessive use of headphones or earphones for a long period of time at high volume
can be dangerous if the output of the headphone or earphone connectors do not
comply with specifications of EN 50332-2.
The headphone output connector of your device complies with EN 50332-2 Sub
clause 7. This sp ecificatio n limits the dev ice's maximum w ide band true RMS output
voltag e to 150 mV. To help protect aga inst heari ng loss, ensur e that the headp hones or
earph ones you use al so comply with E N 50332-2 (Clause 7 li mits) for a wide ba nd
characteristic voltage of 75 mV. Using headphones that do not comply with
EN 50332-2 can b e dangerous d ue to excessive s ound pressu re levels.

If your dev ice came with h eadphone s or earphone s in the packag e, as a set, the
combination of the headphones or earphones and the device already complies with
the specifications of EN 50332-1. If different headphones or earphones are used,
ensure that they comply with EN 50332-1 (Clause 6.5 Limitation Values). Using
headph ones that do not c omply with EN 50 332-1 can be d angerous du e to excessive
sound pressure levels.
