IfyourLenovocomputerispreinstalledwithanyversionofaWindowsoperatingsystem,you’llneedto
“unpack”Windowsthefirsttimeyoustartyourcomputer.Itissimilartounpackingthepackageofa
hardwareproduct.ThisprocessisalsoreferredtoasOOBE,orout-of-boxexperience.

Step2.ClickSystemandSecurity➙System.Y oucanverifyactivationstatusforthecopyofWindows10

onyourcomputerunderWindowsactivation.

Useorinstallsecuritysoftware

Tohelpprotectyourcomputerfromvirusesandotherattacks,installorusesecuritysoftware(antivirus
softwareandfirewall).

YourLenovocomputermayincludepreinstalledsecuritysoftwareforyourconvenience.Thepreinstalled
securitysoftwareincludesatrialperiodduringwhichtimeyoucanuseitforfree.Y ouhavetopurchasea
licenseifyouwanttocontinuetouseitwhenthetrialperiodexpires.
