Thepurposeofthisinspectionguideistoassistyouinidentifyingpotentiallyunsafeconditions.Aseach machinewasdesignedandbuilt,requiredsafetyitemswereinstalledtoprotectusersandservicetechnicians frominjury.Thisguideaddressesonlythoseitems.Youshouldusegoodjudgmenttoidentifypotentialsafety hazardsduetoattachmentofnon-ThinkServerfeaturesoroptionsnotcoveredbythisinspectionguide.
Ifanyunsafeconditionsarepresent,youmustdeterminehowserioustheapparenthazardcouldbeand whetheryoucancontinuewithoutrstcorrectingtheproblem.
Considertheseconditionsandthesafetyhazardstheypresent:
•Electricalhazards,especiallyprimarypower(primaryvoltageontheframecancauseseriousorfatal electricalshock)
•Explosivehazards,suchasadamagedCathodeRayTube(CRT)monitororabulgingcapacitor
