•Theproducthasbeendroppedordamagedinanyway.
•Theproductdoesnotoperatenormallywhenyoufollowtheoperating
instructions.

Alwaysobservethefollowingprecautionstoreducetheriskofinjuryandproperty
damage.
Batteries
AllpersonalcomputersmanufacturedbyLenovocontainanon-rechargeable
coincellbatterytoprovidepowertothesystemclock.Inaddition,manymobile
products,suchasnotebookcomputers,utilizearechargeablebatterypackto
providesystempowerwheninportablemode.BatteriessuppliedbyLenovofor
usewithyourproducthavebeentestedforcompatibilityandshouldonlybe
replacedwithapprovedparts.
Neverattempttoopenorserviceanybattery.Donotcrush,puncture,orincinerate
batteriesorshortcircuitthemetalcontacts.Donotexposethebatterytowater

orotherliquids.Onlyrechargethebatterypackstrictlyaccordingtoinstructions
includedintheproductdocumentation.
Batteryabuseormishandlingcancausethebatterytooverheat,whichcancause
gassesorameto“vent”fromthebatterypackorcoincell.Ifyourbatteryis
damaged,orifyounoticeanydischargefromyourbatteryorthebuildupofforeign
materialsonthebatteryleads,stopusingthebatteryandobtainareplacement
fromthebatterymanufacturer.
Batteriescandegradewhentheyareleftunusedforlongperiodsoftime.For
somerechargeablebatteries(particularlyLithiumIonbatteries),leavingabattery
unusedinadischargedstatecouldincreasetheriskofabatteryshortcircuit,
whichcouldshortenthelifeofthebatteryandcanalsoposeasafetyhazard.Do
notletrechargeableLithium-Ionbatteriescompletelydischargeorstorethese
batteriesinadischargedstate.

Usingheadphonesorearphones
Ifyourcomputerhasbothaheadphoneconnectorandanaudioline-out
connector,alwaysusetheheadphoneconnectorforheadphones(alsocalleda
headset)orearphones.

Excessivesoundpressurefromearphonesandheadphonescancause
hearingloss.Adjustmentoftheequalizertomaximumincreasesthe

Self-serviceCRUsisyourresponsibility.Y oumayrequestthataServiceProvider
installOptional-serviceCRUsunderoneoftheothertypesofwarrantyservice
designatedforyourproduct.Anoptionalserviceofferingmaybeavailablefor
purchasefromaServiceProviderorLenovounderwhichSelf-serviceCRUswould

designatedservicecenter,withshippingattheexpenseoftheServiceProvider.
Youareresponsiblefordisconnectingtheproductandpackingitinashipping
containerprovidedtoyoutoreturnyourproducttoadesignatedservicecenter.A
courierwillpickupyourproductanddeliverittothedesignatedservicecenter.
Theservicecenterwillreturntheproducttoyouatitsexpense.
4.CustomerCarry-InService
UnderCustomerCarry-InService,yourproductwillberepairedorexchanged
afteryoudeliverittoadesignatedservicecenteratyourriskandexpense.After
theproducthasbeenrepairedorexchanged,itwillbemadeavailabletoyoufor
collection.Ifyoufailtocollecttheproduct,theServiceProvidermaydisposeof
theproductasitseest,withnoliabilitytoyou.
5.Mail-InService
UnderMail-InService,yourproductwillberepairedorexchangedatadesignated
servicecenterafteryoudeliveritatyourriskandexpense.Aftertheproduct
