The V-Lux 1 combines top Leica picture quality and performance with the compact size and comfort of a
sophisticated all-in-one-solution : Its first-class LEICA DC VARIO-ELMARIT lens offers an extremely wide
focal length range of 35 - 420 mm. The 12 x optical zoom means that you are equipped for every photo situ­ation – without dealing with changing lenses – from fine macro through high-impact wide-angle scenes to
super-telephoto shots for nature observation. The CCD sensor with a resolution of 10 million pixels and opti­cal image stabilization technology offers ideal features for brilliant razor-sharp images, even under difficult
conditions. The fully swiveling 2.0" display also allows you to discover unusual perspectives and provides
for precise image evaluation. Designed solely to cater for the requirements and creativity of the photographer,
the LEICA V-LUX 1 offers fast, simple and intuitive operation. With this universal digital camera, photography

under control The LEICA V-LUX 1 takes
an extremely good look at the world. From
a distance, at very close range, at twilight –
it doesn‘t miss a thing. There is perfect
interaction throughout in this compact
high-performance camera : the Leica Vario
lens, the optical image stabilizer, the fast
and accurate autofocus and the high-speed
image signal processing. Handy and com­pact, the LEICA V-LUX 1 is the ideal com­panion when traveling, for nature observa­tion or at cultural events.

All-purpose lens

The LEICA DC VARIO-ELMARIT 7.4-88.8 mm
f/2.8-3.7 ASPH lens brings qualities to
digital photography for which Leica has
been an authority in the analog world for
years. It delivers top-quality pictures as
well as offering maximum flexibility, from
the wide-angle to the super-telephoto
range. This makes the V-Lux 1 an all­purpose camera for universal usage.

Compact and powerful

As a true alternative to digital SLR equip­ment which is often cumbersome and
costly, the compact V-Lux 1 leaves nothing
to be desired : superb picture quality
thanks to 12 x zoom lens and 10 megapixel
picture resolution, combined with practic­ality and comfort.

Creativity photography

The LEICA V-LUX 1 is ready for use at all
times, offering completely intuitive, fast
and reliable operation, also manually. The
focusing and zoom ring on the lens allows
you to concentrate fully on the scene.

Razor-sharp

The integrated image stabilizer (MEGA
O.I.S.) prevents picture shake. Especially
in the super-telephoto range, with interi­ors or at twilight hand-held shots will also
be razor-sharp and precise without a tri­pod.

Faster and more accurate

With the V-Lux 1 you will be ready for
action at all times. The autofocus is very
fast with extremely precise focusing. The
data acquired are processed and stored
by the new image signal processor in a
flash. Capture those unique moments
with spontaneous shots.

with unusual perspectives ! The swiveling

2.0" TFT display offers amazing viewing
angles. With 207,000 pixels and a high
level of brilliance it gives you full control
regarding perspective and framing your
pictures. In extremely bright situations
the high-resolution electronic viewfinder
of the V-Lux 1 ensures precise adjustment
of subject and focus.
