• Disconnect the electrical plug from the wall outlet before cleaning, moving, servicing or when not in
use for an extended period of time.
• Do not use this product if it is wet, in water, around water or any liquid. Do not handle the plug or
remote control with wet hands.
• To prevent suffocation keep plastic bags away from children.
• Improper connection of the equipment-grounding conductor can result in a risk of electric shock. Check
with a qualified electrician or serviceman if you are in doubt as to whether the product is properly
grounded. Do not modify the plug provided with the product - if it will not fit the outlet, have a proper
outlet installed by a qualified electrician.
• Plug directly into a wall outlet. Do not use an extension cord, adapter or surge protector.
• Keep cord out of reach of small children, and do not use where it may be a trip hazard.
• Do not remove the cover from the electrical outlets. Do not insert into the outlet anything other than
a securely fitting plug from a properly operating device designed for 110-volt electricity. If a plug will
not fit completely into the outlet, do not force it in and instead unplug the device. Do not allow liquids
near the outlets. In case of spills into the outlets, immediately unplug the unit and consult an electrician.
WARNING
• Always keep open flame and lit cigarettes away from upholstered furniture. Upholstered furniture
may burn rapidly with toxic gas and thick smoke.
• Closely supervise children and disabled persons using this product.
• Do not use this product if it is damaged. Do not use attachments or substitute parts.
• This product is intended for indoor residential use only.
• Check the condition of the electrical cord and plug monthly. Keep the electrical cord away from heat
sources. Never operate the unit with a damaged electrical cord or plug. Contact your La-Z-Boy
dealer for service.
• This product is not intended for use as a health care device.
• Do not use this product where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen
is being administered.
• Do not attempt to disassemble or ser vice the product; no serviceable parts are inside.

• Do not allow electrical cord to be pinched between moving parts or between the frame
and the floor. Do not place cord under carpet or in location where it could become worn.
• Connect this furnishing to a properly grounded outlet only (see Table of Contents, Grounding Instructions).
• This product must be grounded. If it should malfunction or break down, grounding provides a path of least
resistance for electrical current to reduce the risk of electrical shock. This product is equiped with a cord
having an equipment-grounding conductor and a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an
appropriate outlet that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.
• This product is for use on a nominal 120-volt circuit and has a grounding plug that looks like the plug
illustrated in the Grounding Instructions (see Table of Contents, Grounding Instructions). Make sure that
the product is connected to an outlet having the same configuration as the plug. No adapter should be
used with this product.
• Unplug the power cord immediately if you detect strange odors or fumes coming from the unit.
• Do not attempt to disconnect the power plug by pulling the power cord. Always hold the power
plug and pull it out.
• If you give this product to someone else, include this Operating Instructions manual.

The power console has one side mount locking latch bracket and one side mount latch bracket
on the right side (sitting), and two threaded studs on the left side (sitting), (F
1. Use a T-30 torx driver to loosen the threaded studs to approximately 1", this measurement
may vary depending on the fabric and style (F
2. Align the units to be joined next to each other. Move the unit with the latch brackets
approximately 4" forward of the unit with the threaded studs.
3. Slide the unit with the latch brackets back until the threaded studs are securely engaged in
both the front and rear latch brackets. The rear bracket is not a locking bracket.
4. Continue connecting the modular units until all have been securely joined. Refer to the Reclining
Sofa Operating Instruction manual or the Power Recline Operating Instructions manual for assembly
instructions for all motion-modular units.

NOTICE: To reduc e the risk of product damag e:
• Do not move the units while latched together. The purpose of the latch bracket system
is to connect the units and prevent them from being separated. The latch bracket system
does not provide adequate structural support for the movement of connected units.
5. All modular units must be disconnected to safely move the modular group. To disconnect the units,
apply pressure to the swing arm of the locking latch bracket (FIGURE 3) and slide the unit forward.
Repeat this step to disconnect the remaining units.
