Dock Lite™ v5 is a great way to light up your dock or pier. During
the day the solar panel collects the sun's energy and charges the
batteries. At nightfall, Solar Dock Lite's sensor automatically
turns on the super bright LED. With multiple units your dock will
provide an elegantly lit pathway for all to walk on. This unit is
hands free and energy efficient! Lasts 18+ hours on a full charge
and is brighter than conventional solar garden lights! Yes it lasts
all night! Just place it on your dock post and you are ready to go!

•If your light is slightly loose on the post you may add a layer or two of tape around your

post before securing it to the post with the provided set screw.

•If you have a a 2.00” OD post NOT a 1-7/8” OD post you will need a separate fitting (not

included). There is only approximately 1/8" difference in size which DOES require the
separate fitting. Note, you may have both sizes if you have added new sections to your

Changing LED Colors & LED Installation Color LED’s - Sold Separately

NOTE: Do not worry if you accidently plug the LED in backwards, it will NOT damage the circuit, the LED will simply will not

illuminate. To correct, tur n the L ED around and rei nsert int o the socket.

NOTE: Battery must have some charge in order to see if LED illuminates: Generally batteries come with a small amount of charge.

Also, LED will not illuminate if solar panel is exposed to enough light: (try in dark area)

NOTE: If using Color LEDs, there is NO way to tell which color is which until the LED is installed and illuminating.

Make sure you have the following items seen below:

“U” Channel O-Ring Seal:

Please check your O-ring Seal and make sure
its properly in pla ce, if it is tw isted or out of
place, you can run a small flat screw -driver,
toothpick or other small device around the O­Ring seal to make sure its properly in place.

Troubleshooting

Q: My light doe s not work.

Q: I replaced my LED with a different color LED but it did not illuminate.

Q: My light has a short run time.

Q: My light is very dim.

Q: My Solar Dock Lite fits ver y tigh t or ve ry loos e on m y dock post.

Q: I am having troubles securing my Solar Dock Lite using the universal flat surface mount.

IMPORTANT: For best performance, replace with rechargeable AA Ni-Cd or Ni-Mh batteries every 2 seasons of use!

1. Make sure battery is securely in place & in pro per position.

2. Your LE D may be ins ta l led backwar d s . Try rev ersing.

2. After installing the LED try placing t he u nit i n a da r k area. The light is activat e d and turned on by the dark.

2. Pipe sizes & tolerances vary; you may wrap you post with Duct Tape or equivalent to provide a more snug fit.

4. If you have a LAKESHORE PRODUCTS INC. dock you may need a separate 2.00 OD Exact fitting. Please call.

Storage Tips (Winter)

Extreme winter weather can reduce the life expectancy of your Solar Dock Lite

1. Cold weather can dramatically reduce the life expectancy of your rechargeable Ni-Cd or Ni-Mh battery.

2. Store yo ur Solar Dock Lite inside during cold mo nth s when your dock is not in use

3. If you have glued your Solar Dock Lite base unit to your Brock post you may simply remove the Solar Top (Electronics Portion) and store
inside if you don’t plan to s to r e you Brock po s ts ins ide.

CAUTION: CONTAINS NICKEL-CADMIUM BATTERIES. BATTERY MUST BE RECYCLED OR DISPOS ED OF PROPERLY.
