Directions for Use
As a result of the manufacturing quality this trainer should provide many sessions of training when reasonable care and maintenance is practiced*.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
1. Attach IV tubing to either latex vein.
2. Allow fluid to flow through the elbow and out the other latex vein.
3. Clamp off the flow of water.
4. The simulator is now ready for use.
NOTE: We recommend nothing larger than a 21-gauge syringe. This will extend the life of the skin and veins. When using a catheter, lubricate it with silicone spray for easier insertion.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE:
1. The unit should be drained after each use. NOTE: If water is inadvertently injected into “tissue” it should be squeezed out (not twisted) and left in a ventilated area to dry out. This helps preserve the material.
2. The veins are made from tough, industrial tubing; however, they will leak when put under unusually high pressure. Normal infusion from an IV bag set­up should not produce undue pressure.
3. When you have finished your training, the elbow should be put up and allowed to air dry. This will prevent molding or mildew.
