Disposing of the packaging and the old appliance
Dispose of the transport packaging in such a way that it does not impact on the environment.
If the appliance is purchased in Germany, the dealer who sold you the appliance will dispose of the transport packaging for you. Recycling the packaging saves raw materials and reduces the amount of waste. Disposed appliances still contain useful materials. Dispose of your old appliance at a collection point for recycling useful materials. Before disposing of your old appliance ensure that it cannot be used any longer. This will prevent misuse.

Safety instructions
Installation, connection and function
These operating and installation instructions must be discussed with the users and then handed over to them.
The appliance should only be used with natural gas or liquefied petroleum
gas (butane/propane or a mixture of the two).
The supply pressure must be
– for natural gas H, E, LL 20 mbar – for liquefied petroleum gas50 mbar. Do not take the appliance into operation if the gas supply pressure is out of range. – natural gas min. 17.0 mbar, 25.0 mbar max. – liquefied petroleum gas min. 42.5 mbar, 57.5 mbar max. The indicated gas supply pressure refers to Germany. Gas supply pressure in other European countries. see section “Technical data”.
Only the nationally approved pressure governors may be used.
The appliance has been designed for a mains supply of 230 V/50 Hz. It
consumes approx. 35 W.
The technical connection data can be found on the rating label of the
appliance.
Before connecting the appliance it must be checked whether the local
supply conditions (type of gas and gas pressure) and the settings of the appliance correspond.
All appliance settings are listed in “Technical data”. They are indicated on
the appliance by an indicating label (or on the identification plate).
If a setting is changed, this must be clearly indicated.
This appliance should not be connected to a pipe for extracting combustion
products. It must be fitted and connected in accordance with the applicable conditions of installation.
The use of a gas cooker causes heat and humidity to form in the room
where the cooker is installed. For this reason it should always be ensured that the kitchen is well ventilated.
All work, such as connection to the gas mains or adjusting and converting
the appliance, should only be carried out by a qualified fitter. The statutory regulations and the connection conditions of the local gas board must be observed in every detail.
All maintenance and repair work should only be carried out by a Customer
Service technician trained by the manufacturer. Always ensure to disconnect the appliance from the energy supply when repairs are being carried out on facilities for directing the flow of gas. Work carried out incorrectly places your safety at risk.
If the appliance is run on liquefied petroleum gas (butane or propane gas),
all connections between the bottle and the appliance must be absolutely tight and leak-proof.
Do not wedge in freely laid supply hoses or place them on the hot hob.
If cooker hoods are mounted above the hob, please observe a minimum
distance of 650 mm. Please take note of the instructions of the respective manufacturer of the cooker hood.
We recommend that the appliance is serviced at regular intervals by a
qualified fitter (maintenance agreement).
Operation
Do not switch the appliance on until the installing technician has explained
the appliance to you.
In addition you should carefully read the information in these operating and
installation instructions. Here you will find important notes concerning safety and how to use the appliance. You should remember that any damage due to improper operation does not fall within the scope of the guarantee.
The appliance is to be used only for the preparation of food in the home.
Never use the appliance to heat a room.
In the event of any trouble during operation, immediately turn off the supply
of gas.
Please keep this manual in a safe place.
Never put the cooking zones into operation unless there is a saucepan of
food on top of them.
Never use the hob as a work or storage surface!
The surfaces of the hob and of the entire appliance become very hot when
in operation. Always keep children away!
The air vents of the hob must never be covered.
Overheated fats and oils may spontaneously ignite. Food involving the use
of fats and oils, e.g. chips, may only be cooked under supervision. Never extinguish ignited fats and oils with water! Put the lid on, turn off the cooking zone and remove the pan.
The glass ceramic hob is very tough and can easily stand light to medium
blows and loads distributed over large areas. You should, however, avoid concentrated loads, such as containers for spices and herbs or bottles falling onto the surface.
If cracks, fractures or any other defects appear in your glass ceramic hob,
immediately switch off the appliance.
Do not place aluminium foil or plastic on the cooking zones.
Do not use aluminium containers as kitchenware.
When the is appliance is cold you should heat it approx. for 2 minutes at
cooking level 12 before switching back to a lower cooking level.
Make sure connection cables for electrical devices are not jammed on the
hot cooking zones.
Always keep pressure cookers under observation until the right pressure has
been reached. First set the burner of the cooking zone to full flame and then turn down the flame in good time (as indicated by the manufacturer of the saucepan).
