Safety instructions
Connecting up and functioning
Küppersbusch cookers are made according to relevant safety regulations. Only Küpperbusch cookers may be connected to Küpperbusch hobs.
The cookers may only be connected up to the mains, maintained and repaired by a qualified electrician according to valid safety regulations. Work carried out incorrectly places your safety at risk.
Do not put the appliance into operation unless it has been built in!
The surfaces of the oven, oven door and hob are very hot when in operation. Always keep children away!
Connection leads of electrical appliances may not be placed on the hot hob or get jammed in the hot oven door.
WARNING! This appliance must be earthed!
Cooking surface
Overheated fats and oils may spontaneously ignite. Food involving the use of fats and oils, e.g. chipped potatoes, may only be cooked under supervision. Never extinguish ignited fats and oils with water! Put the lid on, turn off the hotplate and remove the pan from the hot hob.
If cracks, fractures or any other defects appear in your glass ceramic cooking area, do not use your cooker. Disconnect the fuse.
In glass ceramic cooking areas with warming zones, it is possible for the warming zone to be switched on unintentionally or by a defect electronic component. For this reason, no objects which pose a general hazard may be left on the warming zone even when not in use.
Do not place aluminium foil or plastic on the cooking area.
Do not place combustible or inflammable objects upon the cooking top which might be dangerous in case of unintentional switching on.
Oven
When carrying out repairs and replacing oven light bulbs, the cooker must be disconnected from the mains (switch off the fuse).
Never store any objects in your oven which could cause a hazard if the oven is unintentionally switched on.
Take special care when working in the hot oven. Use a dish cloth, oven gloves or similar.
The oven door must close well. In the event of damage to the door sealing, hinges, sealing surfaces or to the glass pane, do not use your cooker until it has been repaired and checked by a qualified and authorised trained installer.
Caution! When opening and closing the oven door, do not reach into the hinge. Risk of injury!
Always close the oven door completely when preparing food in the oven.
Keep at least 5 cm away from the grill and top heat
Before first use
Remove excess materials and packaging. Before preparing food for the first time, the cooker must be cleaned.
Clean the glass ceramic cooking area or hob, baking trays, drip pan etc. with a damp cloth and a little detergent.
Heating the hob Consecutively heat up the hotplates for (not for glass ceramic hobs) 5 minutes each at the highest setting.
Air the kitchen well because of the “new smell”.
Heating the oven Close the oven door.
Heat up the oven with top heat/bottom heat at 250 °C for 60 minutes. Air the kitchen well at the same time.
The electronic minute minder
Setting the real time
After the appliance has been connected up the mains for the first time or after a power failure “0.00" will appear in the display.
Press both keys simultaneously for a short time and once the ”Plus” or ”Minus” key.
Immediately afterwards set the current time by actuating one of the two setting keys.
Setting the minute minder
The minute minder is intended to remind yuo when the cooking time or the roasting time has come to an end. This is its sole function and does not affect the operations of the oven. After the expiry of the set time, an acoustic signal will sound.
Press the setting key on the right until the required cooking time appears in the display. The symbol will light up and the set time will begin to count down.
A signal will sound when the set time has come to an end. The current time will reappear in the display.
To switch off the signal, briefly press one of the setting keys.
Unless the signal is switched off by hand, it automatically stops after approx. 2 minutes. The cooking symbol flashes until the alarm is switched off.
