Safety advice and Recommendations
•Never use the Juice Extractor if the cover or the filter are damaged.
•In order to eliminate any danger of filter break-up, change it at the first sign of wear or damage. Schedule its replacement every 2 years on average if used every day.
Safety system
This appliance is fitted with a safety system. To start the Juice Extraxtor, the cover (C) must be in place, and the Safety Bridle (E) in the locked position. Opening the Safety Bridle stops the Juice Extractor and returns the switch to position «0».
Starting-up
Before using for the first time, clean and dry the parts that will be in contact with food.
•Install the collector (A), the filter (B) the cover (C) and the pulp container (D) and lock the Safety Bridle (E).(1) (2)
•Cut the fruit into pieces and place a glass or a small jar under the pouring spout to catch the juice.
•Connect the appliance and turn the switch (I) to the “1” position. (3)
•Then place the fruit and vegetables into the feeding tube by opening the cover and then pressing lightly with your hand on the food pusher (F) - never push directly the food with the fingers. (3)
•Stop the appliance by turning the switch to the “0” position.
•Wait for the filter to stop completely before unlocking the Safety Bridle and dismantling the appliance.
Practical tips:
•Peel thick-skinned fruits, remove cores and take out the central part of pineapples.
•It is very hard to extract juice from some fruit and vegetables, such as bananas, avocado pears, some berries, etc.
•To get better results with grapes, quince or gooseberries, clean the filter after every 10 Oz.
•You can prepare the juice from different fruit and vegetables without cleaning the Juice Extractor each time. The flavors will not mix. You just have to operate the appliance work with some water between different juices.
•Use the juice immediately after it has been prepared and add some lemon juice if you wish to keep it for some hours.
•For small fruit and berries, use the dish (G) provided for this purpose. (4)
Cleaning
•Clean the body of the appliance with a damp cloth.
•All other parts can be washed in the dishwasher (use the top tray).
•In order to clean the plastic elements discolored by fruits or vegetables, use cooking oil.
Filter
•Never use bleach or abrasive sponges.
•Clean the filter after every use, using a soft sponge or brush (such as a toothbrush).
