Installing the battery

Make sure to turn the power off before you

install or replace the ba ery.

When it is time to replace the ba ery, the
note name indicator will blink. Immediately
replace the ba ery with a new one.

Tuning

Tuning procedure

1. Tu rn the left shu le sw itc h upw a rd. Ea ch tim e yo u turn the shu  le swit ch,
the Sledgehammer Custom 10 0 will be tur ned on or off .

If the power is left on for approximately 3 minutes without any user input,
it will turn off automatically.

2. If necessary, change the meter mode and calibration (reference pitch).

3. Play a single note on your instrument.

Tune your instrument to the correct pitch so that the desired note name
appears on the display.

Tune the instrument by playing a single note and checking the meter.

The tuning indications diff er depending on the selected meter mode se ing.

Even if the pitch is within the range of detection, it may not be possible to detect the

pitch of an instrumental sound that contains large numbers of overtones or a sound
that has a rapid decay.

The meter may respond to vibrations it picks up from the environment; however,

this will not aff ect tuning of the instrument.

Setting the meter mode (*M)

Each time you turn the left shu le switch downward, the meter mode changes.
A number indicating the meter mode appears in the note name indicator for
a few seconds.

1 (Regular) → 2 (Strobe) → 3 (Half strobe) → 1 (Regular) ...

1: Regular meter

Tune your instrument so that the center LED of the meter display is lit up.
The LED illumination will move from the center toward the right if the note
is sharp, or from the center toward the left if the note is fl at.

2: Strobe meter

Tune your instrument so that the illumination stops fl owing in the meter display.
Since the strobe meter has higher precision, it allows you to tune with greater
accuracy. The illumination will fl ow from left to right if the note is sharp, or
from right to left if the note is fl at.

The pitch is sharp.

Calibration (reference pitch) settings (*M)

Each time you turn the right shu le switch upward (or downward), the
calibration value (reference pitch) increases (or decreases) in 1 Hz steps. The
last digit of the se ing appears in the note name indicator for a few seconds.

The Sledgehammer Custom 100 tunes by picking up the vibrations of the
instrument. Therefore, be sure to a ach the Sledgehammer Custom 100 to
the headstock of your instr ument in order to tune it. In addition, the Sledge­hammer Custom 100 can be freely moved so that the display is easy to read.

The Sledgehammer Custom 100 may be damaged if you apply excessive force

within its range of motion, or a empt to move it beyond its intended range of

motion.

Shuttle lights (*M)

As a default, the shu le lights are set to light up when no note is inpu ed for
tuning and to go off while tuning.
If you want the shu le lights to remain off , hold the left shu le switch turned
upward for three seconds when you turn on the tuner. After the shu le lights
blink, they will go off .
Repeat the procedure to return the shu le lights to the se ing where they
light up when no note is inpu ed.

Procédure d’accordage

1. Tournez le sé lecteur r otatif gau che vers le haut . Chaque tour de c e sélec­teur active et coupe alternativement l’alimentation du Sledgehammer
Custom 100.

Si vous laissez l’appareil allumé pendant environ 3 minutes sans capter
aucun son, il s’éteindra automatiquement.

2. Si nécessaire, cha ngez le mode d’affi chage et le calibrage (diapason).

3. Jouez une note isolée sur l’instrument.

Le nom de la note la plus proche de la hauteur détectée s’affi che sur l’in­dicateur du nom de la note.
Accordez grossièrement votre instrument de sorte à faire apparaître la
note voulue.

4. Accordez votre instrument en jouant une seule note et en vous aidant

des indications de l’affi chage.

Les indications sur l’affi chage varient selon le mode d’affi chage actif.

Même si la note se trouve à l’intérieur de la plage de détection, elle peut ne pas

être détectée si le son de l’instrument de musique contient un grand nombre
d’harmoniques ou un temps de descente rapide.

L’instrument est accordé quand la diode centrale est allumée. L’éclairage des
diodes passe du centre vers la droite si la note est trop haute ou du centre
vers la gauche si la note est trop basse.

2: Affi chage stroboscopique

Accordez l’instrument jusqu’à ce que l’éclairage des diodes cesse de se dé­placer. Comme l’affi chage stroboscopique est d’une plus grande précision, il
permet d’obtenir un accordage plus fi n. Si la note est trop haute, l’éclairage
des diodes se déplace de gauche à droite et si la note est trop basse, il se
déplace de droite à gauche.

Kombischalters nach oben schalten Sie den Sledgehammer Custom 100
ein bzw. aus.

Wenn das Gerät ca. 3 Minuten ohne jedwede Nu ereingabe eingeschaltet
bleibt, schaltet es automatisch aus.

2. Ändern Sie gegebenenfalls den Anzeigemodus und die Kalibrierung
(Referenzton).

3. Spielen Sie eine Einzelnote auf dem Instr ument .

In der Notennamen-Anzeige erscheint die Note, die der ermi elten Tonhö­he am nächsten liegt. Stimmen Sie Ihr Instrument so, dass der Name der
gewünschten Note angezeigt wird

4. S timme n Sie das I n strume nt, inde m Si e eine Sait e spi ele n und die An zeig e

beobachten.

Die Stimmanzeige variiert je nach gewähltem Anzeigemodus.

Auch wenn die Tonhöhe innerhalb des Erkennungsbereichs ist, kann die Tonhöhe

eventuell nicht richtig ermi elt werden, wenn der Klang eines Instruments sehr
obertonreich ist oder rasch abklingt.

Das Stimmgerät kann auf Schwingungen aus der Umgebung reagieren. Dies beein-

trächtigt allerdings nicht die Stimmung des Instruments.

Anzeigemodus auswählen (*M)

Mit jedem Dreh des linken Kombischalters nach unten ändert sich der Anzei­gemodus. In der Notennamen-Anzeige erscheint einige Sekunden lang die
Nummer des gewählten Anzeigemodus.

Stimmen Sie Ihr Instrument so, dass die LED in der Mi e leuchtet. Wenn die
Note zu hoch ist, leuchten die entsprechenden Segmente rechts. Wenn sie zu
tief ist, leuchten die Segmente im linken Bereich.

2: Stroboskop-Anzeige

Stimmen Sie Ihr Instrument so, dass die Beleuchtung anhält. Dank der hohen
Aufl ösung der Stroboskop-Anzeige können die Noten viel exakter gestimmt
werden. Wenn die LEDs von links nach rechts pulsieren, ist die Note zu hoch
gestimmt.

Kalibrierungseinstellungen (Referenzton) (*M)

Mit jedem Dreh des rechten Kombischalters nach oben (oder unten), erhöht
(oder vermindert) sich der Kalibrierungswert (Referenzton) um 1 Hz. In
der Notennamen-Anzeige erscheint einige Sekunden lang die le te Ziff er
des Wertes.

Anbringen am Instrument und Bewegungsspielraum

Das Sledgehammer Custom 100 stimmt Ihr Instrument, indem es dessen
Schwingungen aufnimmt. Aus diesem Grund sollte das Sledgehammer
Custom 100 zum Stimmen an der Kopfpla e Ihres Instruments angebracht
werden. Darüber hinaus kann das Sledgehammer Custom 100 frei bewegt
werden, um die Ablesbarkeit des Displays zu verbessern.

Das Sledgehammer Custom 100 kann beschädigt werden, wenn innerhalb des

Bewegungsspielraums übermäßige Kraft auf das Gerät ausgeübt wird bzw. wenn

versucht wird, es über den Bewegungsspielraum hinaus zu bewegen.

Shuttle-Lichter (*M)

Werksseitig eingestellt, leuchten die Shu le-Lichter, wenn keine Note zum
Stimmen gespielt wird und erlöschen während des Stimmens.
Falls Sie die Shu le-Lichter ausschalten wollen, drehen Sie den linken Shu ­le -Sc halter etwa drei Se kunden lang nach ob en, währe nd Sie das Sti mmg erät
einschalten. Die Shu le-Lichter blinken kurz und erlöschen.
Wiederholen Sie den Vorgang, wenn Sie die Shu le-Lichter wieder aktivieren
wollen.

el interruptor de rueda hacia arriba, el Sledgehammer Custom 100 se

enciende o se apaga.

Si la alimentación se deja encendida durante unos 3 minutos sin ningún
sonido de entrada, seapagará de forma automática.

2. Si es necesario, cambie le modo de medidor y la calibración (tono de

referencia).

3. Toque una sola nota en su instrumento.

El nombre de nota más cercano al tono detectado aparece en el indicador
de nombre de nota. Afi ne su instrumento con el tono correcto para que
aparezca el nombre de la nota deseada.

4. Afi ne el instrumento reproduciendo una nota y comprobando el medi-

dor.

Las indicaciones de afi nación difi eren en función del ajuste del modo de
medidor seleccionado.

Aunqu e el tono esté dentro del rango de d etección, puede qu e no sea posible detect ar

el tono de un sonido que contenga gran cantidad de armónicos o que tenga una
rápida caída.

El medidor puede responder a las vibraciones que recoge del entorno; sin embargo,

eso no afectará a la afi nación del instrumento.

Ajuste del modo de medidor (*M)

Cada vez que gira el interruptor de rueda izquierdo hacia abajo, el modo de
medidor cambia. Un número que indica el modo de medidor aparece en el
indicador de nombre de nota durante unos segundos.

Afi ne el instrumento, hasta que se ilumine el LED del centro de la pantalla
del medidor. La iluminación del LED se moverá del centro hacia la derecha
si la nota es sostenida o del centro hacia la izquierda si la nota es bemol.

2: Medidor estroboscópico

Afi ne el instrumento, hasta que la iluminación deje de fl uir en la pantalla del
medidor. Como el medidor estroboscópico es de mayor precisión, permite
una afi nación de más exacta. La iluminación fl uirá de izquierda a derecha si
la nota es sostenida o de derecha a izquierda si la nota es bemol.

Afi ne el instrumento, de forma que el fl ujo se detenga y sólo permanezca
iluminado el LED central. El estroboscopio aparecerá en la parte derecha de

pantalla del medidor si la nota es bemol. Cuando la afi nación sea correcta, sólo
se iluminará el LED central.

Cambio del tono de referencia (calibración) (*M)

Cada vez que gira el interruptor de rueda derecho hacia arriba (o hacia abajo),
el valor de calibración (tono de referencia) aumenta (o disminuye) en pasos de
1 Hz. El último dígito del ajuste aparece en el indicador de nombre de nota
durante unos segundos.

El sistema Sledgeh ammer Custom 100 real iza la afi nación recogiendo las vibra­ciones del instrumento. Por ello, asegúrese de colocar el Sledgehammer Custom
100 en el cabezal del instrumento para poder afi narlo. Además, el Sledgehammer
Custom 100 se puede mover libremente para leer la pantalla con facilidad.

El Sledgehammer Custom 100 puede resultar dañado si ejerce una fuerza excesiva

en su intervalo de movimiento, o si intenta desplazarlo más allá de su intervalo de
movimiento previsto.

1.シャトル・スイッチＬを上方向に回します。回すたびに電源が入る、
切れるを繰り返します。

電源が入ったまま音の入力がない状態が約3分続くと、自動的に電源が
切れます。

2.必要に応じてメーター・モード、キャリブレーション（基準ピッチ）の
設定をします。

3. 楽器を単音で鳴らします。

認識した音に一番近い音名が音名表示に表示されます。
合わせたい音名が表示されるように、楽器をおおまかにチューニング
してください。

4. 楽器を単音で鳴らして、メーターを見てチューニングします。

メーター・モードによってチューニングの表示が異なります。

測定範囲内の音程でも、倍音を多く含んだ楽器音や減衰の早い楽器音

については、測定できない場合があります。

周囲の環境によっては振動を拾いメーターが反応する場合があります

が、楽器のチューニングには影響ありません。
