Short Description
Using the EASY USB to RS232 converter you can expand your PC I/Os with an additional external serial port (RS232) via an internal onboard USB port.
The EASY USB to RS232 converter is designed to be PC internal mounted. One USB cable connection is included.
The PC must be running Windows® operating system (refer to “System Requirements”). The functionality of this port is ensured only by installation of the corresponding USB driver for the bridge controller PL-2303 HXD.

Information for Installation of the EASY USB to RS232:
The operating system does not recognize this USB connected EASY USB to RS232 converter as an USB-device. No USB icon appears in the taskbar. The converter appears after installation of the corresponding driver as “USB serial device COM#”. See in the “Device Manager” of your computer under the file “(Ports&LPT)”. The COM port number is allocated by OS, depending on the connected devices to the PC.

» Stick with the required USB driver » An available on board USB (2.0) 10-pin header » Free external expansion slot for the slot bracket with the serial
interface (9-pin D-SUB connector) or a cut out for the S-SUB connector at the I/O panel of the PC.
