OPERATION MANUAL
YOUR TEETH FOR YOUR ENTIRE LIFE
WHAT IS PLAQUE?
Plaque is a fine bacterial film that builds up on your teeth. If not removed daily, it may lead to the most common dental diseases: caries and periodontosis.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Charger: 230V-240V~ 50Hz 2.2W Rechargeable battery: 2.4 Volt
The maximum operating time when fully recharged is 45 minutes. If the rechargeable batteries are low, the flashing indicator signals that immediate recharging is recommended. The continued use of the toothbrush leads to the automatic cessation of operation after a while. This protective battery function serves the purpose of extending the life of the battery. Recharge batteries immediately.
ATTACHING THE WALL BRACKET
Affix the plugs and screws included to the wall. Then slide the wall bracket to the rear of the recharging station. Attach the entire station coming from the top to the screw. Guide the cable through the cable

conduit of the wall bracket. Use only as much cable required to reach the outlet.
CONNECTION TO POWER SUPPLY
Any power point can be used to connect the recharging station – even outlets supplying between 230 and 240 Volt. Place the rechargeable battery component facing you into the recharger. The green charge light flashes as soon as the battery has been placed into the charging station connected to the power supply. The rechargeable battery may warm up while charging. This does not influence the device’s operation. Overloading the battery is not possible. To maintain its full performance the rechargeable battery should remain in the charging station after every use.
MAINTAINING THE LIFE OF THE RECHARGEABLE BATTERY
To maximise the capacity and the life of the rechargeable batteries charge them for 16 hours before their first use. Then use them until fully empty. Do not leave the charging station constantly connected to the power supply, but connect the plug to the power point for recharging only. The electric toothbrush is also equipped with an integrated BATTERY PROTECTOR. If the rechargeable batteries are so weak that using them may curtail their service life the indicator signals that recharging should be started. This signal must be observed! CHARGING SAFEGUARD: After charging commences the indicator flashes for 10 minutes, and while charging changes to constant illumination.

NOTES ON HOW TO USE
Charge your electric toothbrush before its first use for a minimum 16 hours. After a complete charge cycle attach the brushhead with a colour ring of your choice. Position the brushhead with the head pointing in the same direction as the switch. Select one of the 4 possible positions respectively by activating the “I” button.
Press 1 x = „Fast“ speed with 2-minute timer Press 2 x = “Slow” speed with 2-minute timer Press 3 x = Massage function with 2-minute timer Press 4 x = Off
Button 0 = Off “0” is the Reset/Off switch. Press for immediate reset or to turn off your electric toothbrush. 2-minute timer: After two minutes of operation a two-second clicking signal can be heard Massage function: The brush head alternately runs 3 seconds at fast speed and 3 seconds at slow speed to generate a soft massage function for your gums. Thoroughly rinse your mouth before brushing your teeth and moisten the brushhead. Use any regular toothpaste. Turn on the electric toothbrush after pointing the brushhead toward your teeth. This prevents splashing. Move the brushhead to start with along the chewing surface of your teeth. Then continue with the outer and inner sides of your teeth. Be sure to reach the interdental spaces and all gum areas. It is not necessary to apply pressure onto the toothbrush. Brush your teeth for a minimum 2 minutes to thoroughly remove plaque. Rinse your mouth again thoroughly after brushing your teeth. Bleeding gums may occur during the first few days of use, especially if the user generally tends to suffer from bleeding gums. This bleeding should cease after a few days. If the bleeding persists for more than two weeks, consult your dentist. Clinical research has shown that the best cleaning results are obtained if
7
the toothbrush is gently moved from one tooth to another without exercising any pressure. A change in the shape of the bristles after use is normal. This is influenced by the individual cleaning technique, but does not affect the operability of the toothbrush.
PRESSURE CONTROL
The pressure sensor of your NEVADENT toothbrush automatically interrupts the pulsating motion if too much pressure is exercised.
REPLACING THE BRUSHHEAD
To ensure the cleaning performance of your toothbrush we recommend replacing the brushhead every three months, or at the latest when the bristles yield. If you replace your brushhead more often than every three months, you are exercising too much pressure when cleaning your teeth. Gently move the toothbrush over your teeth at all time without any pressure.
CLEANING YOUR ELECTRIC TOOTHBRUSH
To maintain the function of the brushhead, rinse it thoroughly under running tap water for a few seconds after use while still rotating. Clean the brushhead and the rechargeable battery component by simply rinsing them under water. Dry the rechargeable battery component. Return the rechargeable battery to the charging station. To keep the brushheads in a clean hygienic condition we recommend placing them into a cleaning agent for dentures (available at retail outlets) every 2-4 weeks.

CAUTION
Check the cable occasionally for damage. Should you see any damaged points immediately disconnect the plug of the charging station and have the device checked by one of our service centres. Your service centre will exchange the entire charging device. Do not repair it yourself! A damaged or malfunctioning charger must not be used.
ENVIRONMENT
Remove the built-in rechargeable batteries before disposing of the device. PLEASE OBSERVE: The device can also be correctly disposed of at one of our service centres. The batteries should be fully empty before removal. For this, allow the device to run until operation ceases. Turn the anti-slip bottom cover counter-clockwise while holding a dry cloth. After opening the battery cover use a simple screwdriver to loosen the air-core coil while exerting a little pressure. Gently shake the battery compartment so that the batteries drop out. Since these are nickel cadmium batteries they should not be disposed of in your regular waste in the interest of your environment. Please dispose of at a service centre or at a collection point for special waste provided near you.
