4. Safety Instructions
To avoid life-threatening electric shocks:
Make certain that the power cord does not become wet or moist during operation. Run it such that it cannot be
crushed or damaged.
If the power cord or the power plug are damaged, have these replaced by the customer service before continuing to use the device.
First pull the plug out of the power socket before filling the device with water or changing acccessory parts.
Only use the device in dry rooms, not outdoors.
Only fill the device with the supplied measuring cup! Never hold it under running water. Never submerge the device in water.
Never leave a heat-generating device unattended! After use or during work pauses, always pull the plug out of the power socket. The device heats up and generates steam pressure as long as the plug is in the power socket!
Only use the device with dry hands and never without shoes (not barefoot). This reduces contact of hot liquid or steam with the body in the event of an error.
To prevent fire hazards and the risk of injury:
Never direct the steam toward people or animals. Hot, high pressure steam
can cause serious injuries!
Caution - heat! High temperatures
should be expected at the steam exit and lid threads during operation and
up to 30 minutes approx. after unplugging the power card. Do not touch these areas until they have cooled down completely.
Only fill the device with clear water – never use other liquids or any additives! These can react in unexpected ways under pressure and heat!
Risk of scalding!
Never open the lid while pressure exists within the boiler (e.g. if hissing can still be
heard when pressing the steam switch). Otherwise, hot steam can escape rapidly upon opening!
Do not operate the device with an empty tank. If the water reserve is used up, unplug the power cord to prevent overheating.
Let the accessories cool before removing them.
Only use the original accessory parts for this device. Other parts may not be sufficiently safe.
Never let children or elderly persons work with the device unattended as they may not always properly appreciate the possible hazards.
Wear gloves, protective glasses and
breathing protection when attempting to remove substances hazardous to health.

5. Operation
First test on a less visible area whether the material to be cleaned is suitable for high pressure steam, for instance:
Painted wood or leather can be bleached by steam.
Unprotected wood can swell.
Protective wax coatings can be remo- ved by steam.
Plastics can be melted by steam.
Soft plastics can deform when ex- posed to steam.
Cold glass or mirror surfaces can snap when encountering hot steam. If you wish to clean windows, you must first preheat them, for instance by applying the steam over large areas from a greater distance, then moving it progressively closer.
Acrylic, velvit and linen react sensitive- ly to hot steam, as do plastic fibres.
a) Attaching / Removing Accessories
Warning: Make certain that the power
cord is unplugged before attaching or removing accessories. Attached accessories can still be hot after prior operation!
Select the accessory appropriate for the
intended cleaning (- , - ) according to the description in Section
3.
Slide the accessory onto the front con-
nection nozzle and turn it 1/4 turn ...
clockwise to lock it (turn tight),
counter-clockwise to remove it.
b) Filling and refilling with Water
Warning: Before refill water:
• Let the device cool down, otherwise there is a risk of scalding.
• Unplug the power cord, otherwise there is a risk of electrical shock.
Note: The device is equipped with a safety mechanism that prevents opening of the lid as long as steam is present in the boiler.
Pull the power plug out of the socket.
Press the steam switch until the
steam has been completely released from the boiler.
Unscrew the lid  on top of the boiler
and lift it off.
Use the measuring cup  and funnel
to fill with a maximum of 280 ml of cold, clear water.
Caution: Do not overfill the device. Excessive pressure can result if too much water is added. The device could be damaged!
Screw the lid closed again by hand until tight.
c) Allowing the Device to Heat Up
When the boiler is filled with water and the lid is firmly closed:
Place the device on a flat surface that
will not tip and plug the power plug into the power socket.
• The red indicator light lights up. After 3-4 min. the device is ready for use.
5
d) Cleaning with Steam
Warning: Always hold the device upright during use – never tip the device at an
angle greater than about 45 degrees (in any direction). Hot water could drip out and cause burns.
Direct the accessory toward the surface
to be cleaned. ...
• First at a distance of about 20 cm.
Press the steam switch , steam now
flows from the nozzle.
You can now move as close to the sur-
face being cleaned as the material permits.
6.Cleaning the Device
Danger: Do not open any part of the
housing. There are no operating elements inside. An open housing can create the risk of a life-threatening electrical shock.
Before cleaning the device, ....
First unplug the power cord and ...
Let the device cool. This can take up
to 30 minutes. approx.. Caution – the lid threads remain hot for some time,
even after the rest of the device has already cooled.
Remove deposits from the boiler after
about 10 - 15 uses. To do this, fill the boiler with clear water as described in
5.b). Then close the lid and shake the device forcefully.
Clean the outside surfaces and the
power cord with a slightly damp wash cloth. Always dry the device well before using it again.
Do not use any cleansers, abrasives or
solvents. These can damage the device.
7. Storage
Let the device cool completely before
putting it away.
Empty the tank after you have
finished working with the device.
Bacteria may grow in the water remaining in the boiler – the bacteria may be blown into the air during the next use.
Store the device in a dry location.
Store the device in a place that is
inaccessible to children and elderly persons. They may not properly appreciate the hazards involved with devices that generate heat.
8. Disposal
Care for the environment. If you wish to dispose of the device, dispose of it at a collection site for recycling of electronics.
