Before use
1. LCD segment screen
Turn the power swi tch to the “ON ” position to c heck the bat tery power. If the batter y level is low, charge it using th e supplied USB cable w ith a power adaptor or USB por t of a PC. The r ed indicator lig ht will stay on and t he icons on the LCD segment sc reen will be sh own. The cam era is now in normal previe w state.
The icons show n on the LCD segment screen w ill indicate the f ollowing:
• Rec ord mode: Th e
icon indicate s video recor ding mode and th e icon indicates voice recording mode
• Phot o shooting pr ompt: The
icon will flash once w hen shooting one photo
• Po wer icon: The
icon will be se en when the cam era is on. The disappear ance of the icon ind icates that th e
camera has ei ther shut dow n or entered into s tandby mode
• Video r ecording dur ation: When t he “Record ” key is press ed once, the dur ation of the cur rent video r ecording
file will be display ed in the middle of t he screen , for example:

Note: The video record ing duration w ill be displayed on both the LCD seg ment screen and the TF T display scree n
• Ba ttery power: The
icon indicate s how much bat tery powe r is left. Mo re black lines indicate more p ower and

Note: The batt ery power indication i con will not be displayed when th e camera is in standby mode or s witched off
• USB connection: The USB mode ico n
indicates wh ether the cam era is connected to the comp uter. The green
indicator ligh t on the left w ill flash slowly
Note: The icon w ill only be displayed when the camera is co nnected to th e computer
• TF card capacit y indication: The
icon indicate s the capacity of the TF car d. More black lines indicat e more space and
less black line s indicate less space. Th e green indicator light on th e left will remain on when t he card is out of memory

Startup
1. The camera can be used in t wo ways:
Either handhe ld or attached to vario us mount accessories . It can also be used under water, with the waterproof c ase.
Note: to remove th e TFT display screen, pr ess the push bu tton and eas e off carefully
2. Installing the rem ote control (op tional)
An o ptional remote control ca n be purchased f or use with th e camera. Pl ease use the accessorie s shown below

icon shown in th e top left cor ner of TFT dis play screen in dicates that t he camera is in v ideo recordi ng

icon shown in th e bottom lef t corner of the TFT displ ay screen indic ates how much batter y power is lef t
• Resolution of vide o recording: In the botto m left corner of the TFT d isplay scree n, 1080P/960P/720P/WVGA will s how to indicate the video recording re solution in s tandby mode
• Spare storage capac ity: In the botto m right corner of the TFT di splay screen ,
will indicate wh ether an external card i s available and will
indicate spare storage capacity
• In preview state, t he camera will not respond t o operatio ns of “<” and “>”
• The camera can be char ged with the included cable . The red indicator on the top o f the unit will flash s lowly during charging and will r emain red once fully charged
Note: Before use, p lease check that there is en ough battery powe r. If not, please c harge the camera using the included USB cable. The re d indicator will flash slowly dur ing charging and w ill remain red wi th the battery icon

2. Formatting the mi cro SD card
Please use a hi gh-speed m icro SD card only and format it on th e camera before recordin g or taking a pic ture. If the micro SD card h as been used on other devi ces, pleas e format it on the camera bef ore any opera tion.
Note: Pleas e confirm wheth er the files on the micro SD card are n eeded before operat ing. Locked fil es on the camer a can be format ted to remove. Format ting will wipe all d ata on the micr o SD card
3. Settin g the date and tim e
A yellow numbe r indicates th e current curs or position. By pressin g the “<” or “>” key, you can move the cur sor to the setup interface
and selec t the date or time . Press the “OK” key to confi rm, which will t urn this number red and the value of the dat e or time can be chan ged. Then press the “0K ” key again to finish. Finally, mov e the cursor to using the “<” or “>” key an d press the “O K” key to confirm.

Parameter settings
In preview mo de, press the “M” key to en ter the menu int erface, then press th e “<” or “>” key to mov e the cursor left or right and pres s the “+” or “-” key to move t he cursor up and down. Aft er selecting the menu , press the “O K” key to set the selec ted menu and press the “M ” key again to exit .

2. Bit rate
Options in rec ording modes : 1080P (12M/6M), 960P (8M/4M), 720P (8M/4M), WVGA (8M/4M). If a high b it rate is selecte d, you will get a cl earer picture with incre ased file size.

or voice recording
Note: In voice recor ding mode, press the “Re cord” key once . The system will star t recording, the voice reco rding duration wil l be displayed on th e bottom of t he TFT displ ay screen and t he green indic ator will flash slo wly. When the “Sto p” key is pressed, the sys tem will stop and save the cur rent audio file re corded, the green indica tor will turn off an d the red indicator will remain o n (the corresp onding operating prompt w ill be shown on the LCD segment sc reen) and the ca mera will ret urn to previe w mode

The voice rec ording proces s only responds to operat ions of “Stop” an d “Shutdown ”

2. Capture mode
• Single shot: The shoo ting mode is aut omatically s et to single shot each time the c amera is turn ed on. Pressing th e “Shutte r” once will t ake one photo
• Triple shot: Pressing t he “Shutter” once w ill take three co nsecutiv e photos
• Time-lapse mode: Takes one photo ev ery 2s/3s /5s/10s/20s/30s until th ey key is press ed to stop, the c ard is full or the pow er has run out
• Self-timer mode: Select t he self-timer delay time (0s , 5s or 10s), then pres s the “M” key to r eturn to the “Previe w” state. Press the “ Shutter” key once to st art the timer. The self-time r indicator will flash at the end of th e delay time and take one photo . The syste m will then autom atically recover the s hooting mod e to single shooting. If the “ Self-timer Delay Time” has b een set, but the unit is re started without pr essing the “ Shutter ” key, the machine will auto set t he “Self-time r Delay Time” to 0 seconds
Note: Single shot , Tr iple Shot, Ti me-lapse m ode and Self-timer modes ca nnot be activated at the s ame time

Note: The camera w ill still beep when you star t and stop a video recordi ng. This cann ot be turned of f
2. Green indica tor light: Please turn it o n or off before s elf timing; the default se tting is “ON”
3. Time display : Please set b efore using. T he camera will auto record th e shooting date and time of an imag e and display it in the bo ttom right corner of the fil e
4. Loop coverage: Whe n “ON”, the video/audio file will b e automatica lly saved in a se gment once every 15 minutes . If it is not set , the video/audio file will be auto matically saved in a segm ent once every 30 minute s.
Note: The video l ength is actually deter mined by the file size, not the l ength of time. For exampl e: When Loop
coverage is o n for 15 minutes, if filming in a dark env ironment the video may re cord for a litt le longer than 15 minutes
5. Auto s tandby: Select th e auto standby time to OFF, 2 minutes, 5 mi nutes or 10 minute s. Once selected, if t here is no operati on, the time r will star t and the camer a will turn off in put and outpu t to enter stan dby mode at the en d of the time se t. If there is any o peration during countdo wn, the sys tem will re-time. If the vid eo recording or shutter is op erated in the standby proc ess, the cam era will wake up. The defaul t standby time is s et to OFF
6. TV outp ut format: N TSC or PAL. The video forma t outputte d to TV can be selected . If the selected format is changed, th e camera will re start to update the para meters
7. Format : Once you’v e confirmed that recorded file s do not need to be saved, all fi les can be remo ved by formatting
Note: lf there is no ca rd inserted, the memo ry of the camera will be for matted. When a card is ins erted, th e card
will be format ted rather than the came ra’s memor y

3. V ideo recording
Manual recording:
Press the “ Record” key once in preview m ode to start recording . The video recording dur ation will be dis played at the botto m right of the TF T display screen, the “G reen Indicator of Video/ Voice Recording ” and the front “Green Video Record ing/Shooting I ndicator ” will flash slowl y, and the recordi ng duration on t he LCD segment screen will be displayed n ormally. The video recor ding process will only resp ond to the zoom function ( “–” key). When the “stop” key is pr essed, the system wil l stop and save t he current video recordin g file, the front green indica tor light will turn off, th e camera will return to the pr eview state, and the rec ording durati on on the LCD segment scree n will disappear.
Note: If you turn th e power off dur ing video re cording, the s ystem will s ave the curre nt file recorde d before
it shuts down
Note: If the batt ery power i s low during vid eo recording , the system will save the c urrent file rec orded and show
the messag e “Low Battery ” on the TFT display scree n until the camera is turne d off or it automatically en ters standby mode
Note: If the memor y space becomes full durin g video recor ding, the sy stem will sav e the current fil e recorded,
show the mes sage “Card Fu ll” on the TF T display screen and retur n to the previe w mode. The video record ing duration on t he LCD segment s creen will also disappear
Note: When the “+” or “– ” keys are pres sed in voice re cording mode , the voice incr easing/reduci ng operatio n
will not be exec uted, howe ver when the “+” or “– ” keys are pres sed when re calling audio fil es, the voi ce increasing/reducing op eration will be executed

8. Factory default: This oper ation restores the par ameter settings to the f actory default. If re storing the factory default, th e system will set the time t o 01.01.2012
9. Language: Press the “<” or “>” key to cho ose your desired languag e
10. Frequency: Select the frequenc y to 50 Hz or 60 Hz, depending on local gr id frequency, in order to avo id the screen flicke ring in preview mode or in vid eo recording
11. Date/Time: Th e time can be adjus ted and changed. It will be disp layed on the bot tom right corner of the vid eo file or photo file w hen recording o r shooting
Note: Press the “ M” key in the submenu to exit
Using the camer a
1. Insert a micro SD card .
2. Turn the power swi tch to the “ON” position t o turn on the cam era. The red indicator wil l light up and the ca mera will enter the pr eview mode.

4. Photo shooting
You can s et the image re solution before takin g photos. Press the “M ” key to enter the setup inter face, press the
“>” or “<” keys to mo ve the cursor to

resoluti on setup menu . There are three resol ution mode s available for y our select ion:
3M: Photo shooting res olution of 2048 x 1536 5M: Photo shooting reso lution of 2592 x 1944 8M: Photo shooting res olution of 3200 x 2400
• Single shot: In previe w mode, pres s the “Shutter” once t o shoot a photo . Yo u will hear a “Click”, the fro nt
green indica tor will flash once (t he photo shooting icon on the LCD s egment screen will also flash once) and the s ystem will return to the pre view state
• Triple Shot: Pre ss the “M” ke y to enter the cam era setup interface. P ress the “>”or “<” keys to move t he
cursor to
, press the “>” o r “<” keys to sel ect the menu “ Tripple” and pre ss the “OK” key to confirm. Pre ss the “M” ke y to exit the se tup interface after se tting. When the “Shu tter” is pressed on ce, the camera will then tak e three conse cutive photos
• Time-lapse mode: Press th e “M” key to ente r the camera setup inter face, press the

When t he “Shutter” but ton is pressed , the camera w ill start sh ooting one photo ever y 2s, 3s, 5s, 10s , 20s, or 30s until t he button is pressed again to stop
• Self-timer mode: Press th e “M” key to ente r the camera setup inter face, press the “>” or “<” key s to move the cursor to
, then press t he “>” or “<” keys to s elect the menu “Self s hot” and pr ess the “OK” key to set the d elay time at 0s, 5s o r 10s. Press th e “M” key to exit the setup i nterface af ter setting t he delay time. When the “Sh utter ” is pressed on ce, the camera will then st art the timer and sho ot a photo at the en d of the delay time
Note: If the mem ory space becomes full , the system w ill display the message “O ut of Memory” on the TF T display screen and re turn to the preview mode
5. Voice recording
Press the “M ” key to enter the camera set up interface, selec t the menu “Ca pture Mode”, pre ss the “OK” key to
enter the se lection int erface, press the “>” or “< ” keys to select
, press the “O K” key to confirm your selec tion, and finally pres s the “M” key to e xit the setup interfa ce. Press th e “Record” k ey to start r ecording and the green indicator will fl ash slowly, the T FT scree n will display the v oice recordin g icon and the time r will start.
After sound re cording, press the “M” b utton to return to the sys tem setting interf ace. Selec t the “Capture Mode”
menu and pres s “OK” to ent er the sele ction inter face. Press the “>” or “<” ke ys to selec t

6. File recall
You can vi ew the audio files, video fil es and photo files on the camer a. Press the
key to enter the r ecall selecti on interface and press it ag ain to exit. Select the “ Record” menu to view the a udio and video fil es or select th e “Capture” menu to view th e photo files.
– Playi ng a video file
Press the
key to enter the “ Record” interface. A ll files will appear on the scre en. Select the video fil e by
pressing th e “>” or “<” keys and pr ess “OK” to play. Press th e “–” key to enter the thumb nail preview mode.
When playing vi deo files, you can selec t the following function s:

7. Managing your fi les
In rec all mode, select a file and t hen press th e “M” key to exe cute operat ions like dele te/protect e tc:
• D elete one: D elete the curr ent photo file Press the “ OK” key tw ice, follow the interfac e prompt to sel ect “Yes” or “ No” and select “Yes” to de lete
• D elete all: Del ete all photo files that aren’ t protected Press the “ OK” key once , follow the interface pro mpt to selec t “Yes” or “No” and selec t “Yes” to delete
• Pr otect: Lock files to prote ct them To do this, whilst se lecting your videos or ph otos to view, press the ‘M ’ button then select ‘ protect’. Once you have selec ted the file you w ant to protec t, press ‘ OK’ and the ic on
will appear in th e upper left co rner. Repeat this op eration to unp rotect the p rotected fil es. No oper ation can delete the prote cted files , except for formatting
• Auto p lay: Auto plays p hoto files wit h an interva l of 5s. This opt ion is only applic able for photo files
• DPO F: When viewin g a photo file, pre ss the “M” k ey to enter the s etup inter face, sele ct the menu “ DPOF and the icon
will appear in th e upper left co rner of this file. This optio n is only applicab le for photo file s
About DPOF – As a standard for re cording the pri nt orders se nt to the micro SD card, DPOF (D igital Print Order Format ) is
applicable to t he photos shot b y digital came ras. You can desig nate the photo s to be printed and the number of their copie s. The follo wing operat ions can be executed if your digi tal camera is DPOF compatib le:
– Insert the micr o SD card into a DPOF co mpatible printer to outpu t the photos as or dered
– The printer compatibl e with your camera can follow t he DPOF orders to print th e photos
Note: The DP OF printing re quires a micro SD card with pres et DPOF information. It w ill fail if you simply select t he photos from t he micro SD card and t ry to print them
Note: Some DPOF co mpatible printers and digi tal photo developing shop s may fail to print the photos bas ed on the specific set tings. If this is the case wi th your printe r, please refer to it s user manual. Otherw ise, pleas e check the DPOF compat ibility wit h the digital ph oto develop ing shop
8. Remote control
You can p urchase a remote control to co ntrol video recording , photo shooting and stoppi ng. The red indicator on
the remote con trol will flash once when you pre ss any of the keys on the diagram b elow.
Befo re use, please follow the s teps below to ensure that the r emote control correspo nds with the cam era:
• Turn off t he camera, press and hol d the “Record ” key, turn the power switch t o the “ON” p osition and r elease the “Record” k ey. Press both t he “Record” and “Stop” ke ys on the remo te control once w ithin 3s to finish the remote control pair ing process . The camera will beep tw ice when pairing is successf ul
Note: To check whether p airing was successful, you c an use the wire less
remote control to control the camera. The control functions include: Starting/ stopping vid eo recording, photo shoo ting and waki ng up from stand by mode. The camera w ill beep once for each opera tion. When v ideo recording is stopped, t he camera will b eep twice
Note: Remote contr ol range: The remote cont rol should be us ed within 15
metres, with no obstacles
Note: When the cam era is in standby mode, pres sing the “Record”, “Shut ter”
or “Stop” key on t he remote cont rol can wake the system up

9. Standby mode
Turn the p ower switch to the “ON” p osition. T he system will start w orking and it w ill enter preview mode
once initializa tion has finished. If there is n o operation for the set t ime in the system sett ings, the system will automatically enter stan dby power-saving mode. Pre ssing the “Re cord” or “Shutter ” key, or any key on the remote control, wil l wake the sys tem up
Note: Pressing ke ys on the TFT screen in st andby mode cannot wake the s ystem up
Note: The LCD segme nt screen will not display any thing in standby mode
10. AV output connection
In pr eview state, connec t the camera w ith the display d evice using an AV cabl e. All of the cam era’s functions can
then be operated
Note: After conn ecting wit h an audio and vide o display device, the TFT s creen on the camera and th e voice will
be turned of f, and the audio and v ideo will be displayed on the de vice’s display. The LCD segment s creen on the camera will display the corresponding function operations normally
11. HDMI output connection
In pr eview state, connec t the camera w ith the high- definition display device us ing an HDMI cable. The camera ’s
functions can then be operated
Note: After conn ecting wit h the HDMI display de vice, the TFT scree n on the camer a and the voice wil l be turned
off and the aud io and video wil l be displayed on th e device’s display
Note: The camera m ay be in an abnorma l state if the HD MI cable is inser ted or unplugged imprope rly when
connectin g. It can be reco vered once it is re-star ted and the LCD segment scr een will display t he correspo nding function operations normally
12. USB connection
• In s tartup state, use the USB c able to connect to a computer. Data s tored on the micro SD card can be re ad and the LCD segmen t screen will display the USB conne ction sta te icon
• The c amera can be charged at any tim e by connectin g to a computer with the USB cable
• T he camera may b e in abnormal st ate if the USB cable is inserte d or unplugged imp roperly when connect ing. Restarting will recover the camera
13. Turning the TF T display on/off
Whe n the camera is in a ny status, pressing the “ Shutter” key for 3 se conds will turn th e TFT display on or off.
Note: The TFT dis play cannot be turned on or of f by pressing th e “Shutter” key on the r emote control

File storage and play
1. USB cable
You can ei ther copy or move the record ed video files t o your computer v ia the USB cable or you can remove th e
micro SD card and ins ert it into a card reader to r ead the vide o data.
Note: Please turn o ff the camer a before inserting or un plugging the USB ca ble
Note: Turn the power swi tch to the “OFF” positi on before char ging the camer a. The red indicator will flash s lowly
during charging
Note: You can directly cop y or move the re corded files to yo ur computer when the power s witch is turned to the
“ON” position
2. HDMI cable and AV cable
You can als o use the HDMI cable or AV cable to conn ect the came ra to a TV or monitor with an HD MI interface to
play the recorded files
Note: After conn ecting the c amera to the mo nitor via the HDMI cable, ple ase selec t the input source on the
monitor to disp lay data from the c amera
Note: If you selec t the AV cable, please connec t each of its terminals to the re levant TV or monitor te rminal in the
same colour

Do not put the vide o camera close to an object t hat emits powerful r adio waves , for example , an antenna. Do n ot put the memory card in a pl ace where sta tic electricity is eas ily generated. Strong magnet ic fields may cause faults on th e video camera or damage th e files
• Do not expos e the video camera to high te mperatures or direct su nshine
• When rec harging the battery, dis connect the power supp ly immediately if overhea ting or if smoke or a peculiar smell occur

Notices for Waterproof Casing
The waterp roof casing sh ould be instal led correc tly.
Please note t he following when using the c amera:
1. Do not disassembl e and reaffix the sealing rin g of the casing, keys and lens cov er. Doing so can make t he waterproof casing ineffective
2. Do not place th e casing in environments wh ere there is corrosive gas s uch as strong acid or alkali and k eep it away from che micals and oth er corrosiv es
3. To avoid defor mation, do not expose t he waterproof casing to high (ab ove 50°C) or low (–10°C) te mperature s for long peri ods of time
4. To avoid deteriorat ing the water proofing per formance, do not expos e the casing to direct sunligh t for long periods of tim e
5. Before usin g the casing, w e advise you to c heck that the s eal rings are in good conditi on, the casin g is well sealed and ti ghtly buckl ed and that there is no debris in t he sealing joints
6. After using the c asing in sea wate r, please clean wi th fresh wate r, then use a dry clo th to wipe the surface. Leave in a cool and v entilated place to dry

Cautions for using 3M double-sided foam sticker
• Please choose a suit able curved or flat surfa ce to ensure that the 3M double -sided foam sticker att aches
• Please make sure that t he surface is clean and smoo th before affixing the 3M do uble-sided foam sticke r onto the surface
• If necessary, suc h as when the camera is being us ed at low temperatures (und er 20°C), we suggest heat ing the surfac e of the 3M double -sided foam sticker wit h a hair drier or similar before fixi ng
Tips
1. When the unit is in use for a lo ng period, i t is normal for the surface te mperature to rise
2. If you are not go ing to use the uni t for a long peri od, it is suggested that yo u charge it once e very six mo nths
to maintain the performance of battery
3. The use of t he digital zooming functi on during shooting will have a s light impact o n the image qualit y
4. When using differe nt modes, t he visual angles will be slight ly different
