dragging may damage the cooktop

PREPARING THE STOVETOP PRECISION KETTLE FOR USE
Before first use
• Before using your Stovetop Precision Kettle for the first time, wash the Kettle and lid
in warm, soapy water, then rinse with clean water and dry.
• Fill the Kettle with water to the “MAX” fill line (see example below) and bring to a full
boil.
• To avoid damage to the Kettle, do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
• Before turning on the burner, ensure
that the kettle lid is securely in place on
top of the Kettle.
• Allow the Kettle to cool on a heatresistant surface. Do not leave Kettle
on a hot burner.
• If there are any signs of damage to the
Kettle, do not use.
• If handle is damaged or loose, do not
use. Do not attempt to repair or modify
the handle.
• The Kettle is meant to boil water
only. Do not put any other liquids or
substances in the Kettle.

TIP: Prior to first use, fill the Kettle with room temperature water and pour
at each flow control setting to become familiar with the different flow rates.

before changing the flow rate settings.
TIP: The flow control lever is meant to come out for cleaning. If you pull up too far
while changing the flow rate settings and the lever comes out, it can easily slide back
into place.

The exterior of the Kettle may be cleaned
with a damp cloth. Dry and polish the
Kettle with a soft cloth. Abrasives and
scouring agents of any kind are not

REMOVING MINERAL DEPOSITS FROM THE INTERIOR
To get the best performance from your Stovetop Precision Kettle, decalcification will be
necessary. Calcium deposits may form on the interior of the Kettle. The cleaning interval
will depend on the hardness of the water you put in the Kettle.
