IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions
should always be followed, including the following:

1. Read all instructions. Misuse of appliance may result

in personal injury.

2. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.

3. To protect against re, electric shock and personal

injury do not immerse cord, plugs, or appliance in
water or other liquids.

4. This appliance may be used by children of at least 8
years of age, as long as they are supervised and have
been given instructions about using the appliance
safely and are fully aware of the dangers involved.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made
by children unless they are older than 8 and they are
supervised by an adult.

5. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of
children under 8 years of age.

6. Children should not use the device as a toy.

7. Unplug Siphon Coffee Brewer from outlet when not in

use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting
on or taking off parts.

8. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord

or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has
been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to
the nearest Authorized Service Facility for examination,
repair or adjustment.

9. The use of accessory attachments not recommended
by the appliance manufacturer may result in re,
electric shock, or personal injury.

10. Do not use outdoors.

11. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter,

or touch hot surfaces.

12. Do not place on or near a radiator, hot gas or electric
burner, in a heated oven, open ame, or similar.

13. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.

14. Do not use appliance without lid properly placed on

container (carafe or brew unit).

15. Do not over ll the container (carafe).

16. The container (carafe or brew unit) is designed for use

with this appliance. It must never be used on a range
top or in a microwave oven.

17. Do not set a hot container (carafe or brew unit) on a
wet or cold surface.

18. Do not use a cracked container (carafe or brew unit)
or a container having a loose or weakened handle.

19. Do not clean container (carafe or brew unit) with
abrasive cleaners, steel wool pads, or other abrasive
material.

NOTE: If the plug does not fit in the outlet,
contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify
the plug in any way. Do not use an adapter.

Do not use an extension cord. If the power
supply cord is too short, have a qualified
electrician or serviceman install an outlet
near the appliance.

NOTE: In accordance with guidelines from the medical device manufacturers, as
with many products containing magnets, it is recommended that those with implantable
pacemakers/defibrillators should use care with the Siphon Coffee Brewer and keep their
device 30 cm (12 inches) away from the Siphon Coffee Brewer.
