‘kiddy cruiserfix pro’ - USA Instruction Manual
1. Introduction
We’re delighted that you have chosen the ‘kiddy cruiserfix pro’ as your preferred booster child seat. The ‘kiddy cruiserfix pro’ is the latest innovative product in our child seat line. Our special energy-absorbent design offers the greatest possible safety in the event of frontal or side crash.
You can use this booster car seat for children weighing 33 to 100 lbs (15 to
45.3 kg) and up to 60 in. (152 cm) and is secured with a vehicle shoulder and
lap belt.
To gain the optimum protection for your child, the booster car seat must be used exactly as described in this instruction manual.
2. Recommended use
The ‘kiddy cruiserfix pro’ booster car seat has been tested and certified to FMVSS 213 for use with children who weigh between 33 and 100 pounds (15.0 and 45.3 kg) and whose height is between 38 and 60 in (96 and 152 cm) (Children approximately 4 to 12 years of age.).

• Child must be at least 33 lbs (15.0 kg) and 38 in. (96 cm) to use this booster car seat.
• Discontinue use of booster car seat when:
- The child exceeds either 100 lbs (45.3 kg) in weight or 60 in. (152 cm) in height.
- The top of the child’s ears are above the top of the seat back.
DEATH or SERIOUS INJURY can occur
Children must meet ALL of the following criteria to use the booster car seat:
• Weight – 33 to 100 lbs (15.0 to 45.3 kg)
• Height – 38 to 60 in. (60 to 152 cm)

• Failure to follow the instructions and labels can result in serious injury or death from ejection or contacting the vehicle interior. Read and follow the information provided in the instruction manual and product labels before using this booster car seat.
• Children 33 to 100 lbs (15.0 to 45.4 kg) must use the booster car seat.
• Discontinue use of this booster car seat when child’s weight exceeds 100 lbs (45.4 kg), height exceeds 57 in. (145 cm) or top of ears are above top of seat back.
• To prevent ejection or injury in a crash, proper adjustment and use is required.
• Check to make sure the booster car seat is properly adjusted to the size of your child prior to travel. Do not attempt to make adjustments during travel.
• Make sure that the booster car seat has been installed in the vehicle according to this operating manual.
• Use only the belt routing described in this manual and on the vehicle seat labels to secure the child and booster car seat.
• The entire underside of the booster car seat must lie fully on the vehicle seat. Do not place anything (e.g. cushions) under the booster car seat.
• Secure the child in this booster car seat with only a vehicle lap and shoulder belt (also called 3-point belt).
• Never use only a vehicle lap belt to secure a child in this booster car seat.
• Make sure that all parts of the booster car seat are properly locked in place.
• Never leave a child unattended in the booster car seat.
• If you need assistance with installation, please contact kiddy USA Consumer Services at 1-855-92-KIDDY or consult your vehicle dealer or manufacturer.
• Prevent burns. Keep the booster car seat out of direct sunlight or cover with a blanket or towel to prevent heating of the surfaces.
• Always secure the booster car seat with the vehicle’s belts even if no child is in the booster car seat. An unsecured car seat can injure other occupants in a crash.

• Allow your child to take breaks during longer trips, and be sure that she / he does not step out of the vehicle into traffic unattended.
• Always check and understand the vehicle’s operating manual regarding how to use child restraint systems in your vehicle.
• The vehicle seat back must be in the upright position as recommended by the vehicle manufacturer and locked in position (in vehicles with fold-down backrests, through-loading facilities etc.).
• NEVER allow a child to play with this booster car seat. This booster car seat is NOT a toy.
• Discontinue use of this booster car seat if it was used in a crash where speed exceeded 10 mph. It must be returned to kiddy USA for inspection and replacement if necessary.
• Discontinue use of this booster car seat after 8 years from the manufacture date noted on the product.
• Do not use any accessories or parts supplied by other manufacturers.
• Do not make any modifications to the booster car seat; doing so will reduce its effectiveness in a crash.
• Only transport a child properly secured in the booster car seat. Never transport parcels or other objects in the booster car seat.
• Improper handling during installation or removal can cause damage to your vehicle (e.g. paint damage or tears in the seat covers etc.) as well as to the booster car seat.
• Vehicle seat covers made from materials such as velour, leather etc. may show wear marks after using your booster car seat.
• You must register your booster car seat to be reached in the event of a product recall or safety notice. Please take the time to fill out the registration card and register today. You could also register your product online:

• Always use the child safety locks in your vehicles passenger doors, if available.
• Make sure that none of the booster car seat's parts are caught in doors or reclining seats.

4. Choosing a vehicle seating position and preparing to install the booster car seat
WARNING
!
• Do not use this booster car seat in a front seating location or seat with front, side or seatbelt airbag unless recommended by the vehicle manufacturer in the vehicle owner's manual.
• Always read the vehicle’s owner manual on how to use child restraint systems/booster car seats in the vehicle or contact your dealer to make sure that you follow the instructions of the vehicle’s manufacturer.
• Some vehicles have no seating positions which are compatible with this booster child seat or any other child seat. If in doubt, contact the vehicle manufacturer for assistance.
• Some types of vehicle belts are NOT compatible with this booster car seat.
• The entire underside of the booster car seat must lie fully on the vehicle seat. Do not place anything (e.g. cushions) under the booster car seat.

According to crash statistics, the National Highway Traffic Administration recommends children 12 and under are safer when properly restrained in the rear seating positions than in the front seating positions. Use a vehicle rear seating position whenever possible (Fig. 1).
In vans and minivans it is particularly important to ensure that the booster car seat installed in an easily accessible seat in the event that third-party rescue is required.
For use in a motor vehicle, please follow the manufacturer ’s recommendations in the vehicle manual, or contact your vehicle dealer (Fig. 1).

Please familiarize yourself thoroughly with the recommended use of car seats as described in your vehicle’s owners manual.
This booster car seat MUST be used only with forward-facing vehicle seats. Do not use this car seat with vehicle seats that face the side or rear of the vehicle.
Vehicle seat belts: Many seat belt systems are not safe to use with the booster child seat.
The vehicle seat belt must be designed to secure the child tightly at all the
