At the end of its working life, the product must not be disposed of as urban waste. It must be taken to a special local authority differentiated waste collection centre or to a dealer providing this service. Disposing of a household appliance separately avoids possible negative consequences for the environment and health deriving from inappropriate disposal and enables the constituent materials to be recovered to obtain significant savings in energy and resources. As a reminder of the need to dispose of household appliances separately, the product is marked with a crossed­out wheeled dustbin.

Line a deep 18cm 7" round or 15cm 6" square tin with a double layer of greased greaseproof paper. Place all the ingredients into a large mixing bowl and mix on speed 1 for 10 seconds then increase to speed 3 and continue mixing for a further minute or until the ingredients are thoroughly combined. Transfer the mixture to the tin and level the surface. Tie two strips of brown paper around the tin and stand it on another two sheets of brown paper. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 140°C/275°F/Gas Mark 1. Check, and if necessary, test at intervals after the first 3 cooked. When cooked a 'skewer' inserted into the centre of the cake should come out clean. Allow to cool in the tin for 15 minutes then turn out and carefully remove paper.

The appliance must be protected by a 3A approved (BS1362) fuse.
Note:
For non-rewireable plugs the fuse cover MUST be refitted when replacing the fuse. If the fuse cover is lost then the plug must not be used until a replacement can be obtained. The correct fuse cover is identified by colour and a replacement may be obtained from your Kenwood Authorised Repairer (see Service).
If a non-rewireable plug is cut off it must be DESTROYED IMMEDIATELY. An electric shock hazard may arise if an unwanted non-rewireable plug is inadvertently inserted into a 13A socket outlet.

1 Insert the beaters– turn and push.
(To remove them, press the beater

speed switch to the off position,
then lift the beaters out of the
