COOKTOP SPARK IGNITION -- When you turn the cooktop knob to LITE, the spark Igniters make a series of electric sparks (ticking sounds) which lightthe burnero
After the burner ignites turn knob to desired setting.
TO OPERATE CONTROLS--The sign near each cooktop
control knob shows which burner is turned on by that knob, Push down to turn knobs_ Turn knob to LITE, Set
desired flame setting. All five Igniters spark when any control knob is pushed ino

IMPORTANT: Do not leave the knob on LITE after the burner lights or the life of the spark igniter may be
shortened°
Avoid leaving any burner on without a utensil Doing so
can overheat the grate and cause the enamel finish to
become damaged.

If acooktop burner fails to light within five seconds, turn the knob to OFF and wait five minutes before trying
again, if the burner st_il will not light, check the service section in this manual.
Watch food when heating quickly on HL As soon as the food reaches cooking temperature, turn down the heat to the lowest setting that will keep it cooking.
