Electrical Shock Hazard
Plug into a grounded 3 prong outlet. Do not remove ground prong.
Do not use an adapter• Do not use an extension cord.

Measure detergent and pour into washer.
Drop sorted load loosely into washer. Load evenly around
agitator to maintain balance. Optional step: Pour measured liquid chlorine bleach into
the liquid chlorine bleach dispenser (on some models). Optional step: Pour measured liquid fabric softener into
the fabric softener dispenser (on some models). Close the lid.
Select Cycle, Water Level, Soil Level, Temperature, and Rinse option based on your load.
Pull out Cycle Selector (Timer) knob to start. Push in Cycle Selector (Timer) knob to stop the washer.

Fire Hazard
Never place items in the washer that are dampened
with gasoline or other flammable fluids.
No washer can completely remove oil. Do not dry anything that has ever had any type of oil on
it (including cooking oils)• Doing so can result in death, explosion, or fire.

You should select the wash/rinse water temperature based on the type of load you are washing.
Always use the warmest wash water safe for fabric and follow garment label instructions. For recommended use,
see the Use and Care Guide.
Depending on location, water temperatures may vary by season. The fill rate may also differ depending on the water temperature selected.

When using fabric softener, make sure to turn the

Fabric Softener knob to the Softener Added position.

Heavy Duty with Soak
Use this cycle for sturdy or heavily soiled loads. This cycle
includes a 5-minute soak to help improve cleaning.
Approximate cycle time: 50 minutes
Bulky/Bedding
Use this cycle for large non-absorbing items such as comforters,
pillows and jackets or for spandex items. This cycle will add more water in the initial fill to provide saturation for less absorbent items.
Approximate cycle time: 45 minutes
Normal
Select this cycle for cottons and linens used regularly. The fast-speed spin shortens drying time.
Approximate cycle time: 40 minutes
Casual
Select this cycle for synthetic fabrics such as dress shirts, blouses andslacks. The cycle will give you a load-cooling spray rinse to reduce wrinkling.

Delicate
This cycle combines slow-speed agitat!on and slow-speed spin to gently clean garments wnfle reaucing wrinkles.

Soak
This cycle features agitation followed by unlimited soak time to help
remove stains that need pretreatment. After soaking, you have two
options. To use the same water in a wash cycle, advance the Cycle
Selector (Timer) Control knob to a wash cycle. To remove the soak water, reset the washer to a Spin setting. If the Soak water was drained, add more detergent to the wash cycle.
NOTE: Be sure to push the control in to change to another cycle
and set. Pull the control out to start the washer in its selectedcycle.
Prewash
This cycle helps to remove heavy soils that need pretreatment. This cycle should be followed by a wash cycle. Add more detergent to the wash cycle. The Prewash cycle does not include a rinse.
Approximate cycle time: 15 minutes
2nd Rinse
A second rinse can be used to aid in improved removal of detergent or bleach residue from garments. This option may be automatically
added to the wash cycle by setting the OPTIONS Control to 2nd
Rinse anytime before the end of the cycle.
Rinse & Spin
Select this option if you think an extra rinse is needed. Set OPTIONS
Control to 2nd Rinse. You should then set the Cycle Selector (Timer)
Control knob to a 2nd Rinse setting.
Spin Only

Use the Heavy Soil selection for loads that need a more thorough cleaning. Use the Regular Soil selection for garments that are normally
soiled. Use Light Soil for garments that are only lightly soiled or require a little care.
2nd Rinse
Choose this option for an automatic 2nd rinse cycle.

Before you call service...check for the following.
Loud clicking and banging?
The yellow shipping strap may still be in the rear of the washer. Completely remove the yellow shipping strap.
The washer should be level, and the feet should be firmly on the floor.
Some sounds are normal but may be different from those of your previous washer.
The gears engaging after the drain and before the spin.
The sound of air being pulled through the pump after most of the water has drained.
Is the washer leaking?
Fill hose connections are tight.
Gaskets in fill hose are tight and flat.
Drain hose clamp is securely attached.
Faucets, drain/standpipe or laundry tub is not leaking.
The washer tub is centered, and the load evenly balanced at the start of each load.
The washer is level.
The front feet are installed, and the nuts are tightened
to the cabinet.
