for KBAC Series Drives

This product must be installed and serviced by a qualied technician, electrician, or electrical maintenance person familiar with its
operation and the hazards involved. Proper installation, which includes electrical connections, fusing or other current protection, and
grounding, can reduce the chance of electrical shocks, and/or res, in this product or products used with this product, such as electric
motors, switches, coils, solenoids, and/or relays. Do not use this drive in an explosion-proof application. Eye protection must be worn
and insulated adjustment tools must be used when working with drive under power. This product is constructed of materials
(plastics, metals, carbon, silicon, etc.) which may be a potential hazard. Proper shielding, grounding, and ltering of this product
can reduce the emission of radio frequency interference (RFI) which may adversely affect sensitive electronic equipment. It is the
responsibility of the equipment manufacturer and individual installer to supply this Safety Warning to the ultimate end user of this

This control contains electronic Start/Stop circuits that can be used to start and stop the control. However, these circuits are never to
be used as safety disconnects since they are not fail-safe. Use only the AC line for this purpose.
Be sure to follow all instructions carefully. Fire and/or electrocution can result due to improper use of this product.
It is the responsibility of the equipment manufacturer and individual installer to supply this Safety Warning to the ultimate end user

Tools Required: Hex wrench (supplied), pliers, and wire cutters.
DESCRIPTION
The Forward-Stop-Reverse Switch kit is designed to be installed on the front cover of
the drive. It is used to provide electronic reversing.
MOUNTING (See Figure 1)
WARNING! Make sure that the AC line is disconnected before installing the Forward-
Stop-Reverse Switch Kit.
1. Remove the rubber hole plug assembly that covers the FORWARD-STOP-REVERSE
position. Use the Hole Plug Removal Instructions that are provided.
2. Mount the switch assembly into the front cover making sure the key in the
mounting hole lines up with the keyway in the switch bushing.
3. Install the rubber boot with integral hex nut over the switch lever. Use the Hex
Wrench that is provided to tighten the rubber boot hex nut. Do not overtighten.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS (See Figures 2 and 3)
1. Remove wire ties as needed.
2. Remove the jumper assembly that is installed on the FWD and COM terminals
of the drive. Using piers, gently rock the female terminals back and forth
horizontally while pulling them upward.
3. Install the white/yellow wire from the bottom terminal of the switch to the
Terminal FWD of the drive.
4. Install the white/green wire from the center terminal of the switch to the
Terminal COM of the drive.
5. Install the white/red wire from the top terminal of the switch to the Terminal REV
of the drive.
6. Use the wire ties that are provided to secure switch wires.

Application Note
If using this Forward-Stop-Reverse Switch in conjunction with the SIAC-PS the
Forward-Stop-Reverse Switch must be connected to the SIAC-PS instead of the drive.
Cut of all three insulated straight terminals from the end of the Forward-Stop-Switch
wires. Strip the wires 1/4”. Connect the white/green wire to Terminal 0V on TB1A,
connect the white/yellow wire to Terminal FWD on TB1B, and connect the white/red
wire to Terminal REV on TB1B.
