KACO proLOG quick start
CAUTION! HAZARDOUS VOLTAGE
Before opening disconnect the PV generator and the grid.
Note the order of the electrical connection.

proLOG Installation

1. Find a convenient, easily accessible location indoors within close proximity to an active Ethernet port.
2. Run a cat 5 wire from the inverter to the proLOG.

3. Connect the cat 5 cable to the RS 485 ports A and B at the inverter and proLOG as shown.
4. Set the inverter to RS 485 by pressing both display keys located directly under the LCD

display on the inverter door until the time set menu option is displayed.
5. Press the left display key and scroll through the menu options until the interface sub menu is reached and change the setting to RS485 by pressing the right key once.
6. Press both keys again to leave the settings

7. Plug in the proLOG using the provided 110V power cord.

8. Wait 3-5 minutes for the proLOG to boot.
9. Successful data transfer is confirmed when
the first “Power” LED is illuminated and the second “Status1” LED is blinking.
10. On your home computer, direct browser
to www.kaco-newenergy.com to register your system.
11. Please enter all information requested in
the form to ensure correct registration.
12. Once the system is registered and the
data transfer has been confirmed, we will send a username and password. Use this information to access your PV production data from anywhere in the world or from a PC or mobile web enabled device.
