An extremely high-performance lens developed by the leader in professional HD broadcast and motion picture cameras. It offers nearly the same brightness (F1.8-F1.9) throughout its entire 10x optical zoom range.

Using the same technology as DynaPix HD displays, this function outputs a 1080 scanning line image at progressive 60fps so you can enjoy uncompromising picture quality on a TV that accepts 1080P input.

HDMITM(V.1.3 with x.v.ColorTM) (GZ-HD6/HD5)

The output signal features a wider color space through application of the xvYCC color standard, known as x.v.ColorTM. This universal standard provides more accurate color reproduction with more detail and more shades. Among the colors that the human eye is capable of perceiving, x.v.ColorTMcan display 100% of them whereas the traditional (sRGB) system can only display approx. 55%.

HD Gigabrid Engine

Uses five digital noise-reduction algorithms as well as signal processing to improve vertical scan resolution by approx. 30% over JVC’s previous interlace technology for an extremely clear sharp image.

Why decide between recording digital stills or video? Our dual recording mode allows you to record both at the same time. The digital still function records and stores (up to 640 x 480-pixel resolution) images on an SD/SDHC memory card. The supplied software allows you to edit and organize your digital stills on a PC.

Live Slow (GR-D870 only)

This feature is extremely useful for playing back precious or hard-to-see moments at a slow speed. Slow motion images are recorded with sound on a DVC tape. The images are played back with the slow motion effect while the sound is at normal speed.

Helpful & Convenient Functions

This slim and powerful long life battery allows you to record precious moments with peace of mind. By simply touching the DATA button, the remaining battery and recording time can be easily viewed, even when the power is turned off. This allows you to check the remaining power for the battery and recording time before recording, so you can prevent the battery from running out during recording.
