PRECAUTIONS FOR PROPER USE

When the equipment is installed in a cabinet or on a shelf, make sure that is has sufficient space on
all sides to allow for ventilation (10 cm (3-15/16") or more on both sides, on top and at the rear).
Do not block the ventilation holes. (If the ventilation holes are blocked by a newspaper, or cloth
etc. the heat may not be able to get out.)
No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the apparatus.
When discarding batteries, environmental problems must be considered and the local rules or
laws governing the disposal of these batteries must be followed strictly.
The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing.
Do not use this equipment in a bathroom or places with water. Also do not place any containers
filled with water or liquids (such as cosmetics or medicines, flower vases, potted plants, cups etc.)
on top of this unit. (If water or liquid is allowed to enter this equipment, fire or electric shock may
be caused.)
This unit stops automatically when excessive noise such as lightning is applied. When this happens
(when the POWER LED goes out), unplug the power cord, leave it for a minute and then plug it in
again. In an environment in which events such as lightning are expected often, use a product such
as a surge absorber, which can be plugged into the AC line and may be purchased, separately from
a store.

Make sure you unplug the DC cable from

the AC Adapter/Charger. Connect one end
of the power cord to the AC Adapter/
Charger and the other end to the wall
outlet. The POWER indicator lights.

Remove the battery pack’s protective cap.

Attach the battery pack with the
mark aligned with the corresponding
marks on the AC Adapter/Charger. The
CHARGE Indicator begins blinking to
indicate charging has started. When two
battery packs are attached, they will be
recharged in the order that they are
attached.

When the CHARGE indicator stops

blinking but stays lit, charging is finished.
Slide the battery and lift off. Remember to
unplug the AC Adapter/Charger’s power
cord from the AC outlet.

MEMO:

●

Perform charging where the temperature
is between 10°C (50°F) and 35°C (95°F).
20°C (68°F) to 25°C (77°F) is the ideal
temperature range for charging. If the
environment is too cold, charging may
be incomplete.

●

When plugging the power cord into an
AC Adapter/Charger, push it all the way
in until it stops.

Be sure to use the DC cable provided
with the AC Adapter/Charger.

When using the DC cable, make sure to
connect the end of the cable with the
core filter to the AC Adapter/Charger.
The core filter improves the performance
of the equipment.

DURING USE . . .

● The AC Adapter/Charger AA-P30 is specifically designed to charge the BN-V416, BN-V428

or BN-V438 Battery Packs. It cannot be used to charge a BN-V408.

● When charging a brand new Battery Pack, or one that’s been in storage for an extended

period, the Charging Indicator may not come on. In this case, remove the Battery Pack, then
reattach and try charging again.

● If you connect the DC cable to the DC Connector while a Battery Pack is being charged,

power will be supplied to the camcorder and charging will end incomplete.

● Vibration noise can sometimes be heard coming from the inside of the AC Adapter/Charger.

This is normal.

● The AC Adapter/Charger processes electricity internally, and will become warm during use.

This is normal. Make sure to use the AC Power Adapter/Charger in well-ventilated areas only.

● If the battery operation time remains extremely short even after having been fully charged,

the battery is worn out and needs to be replaced. Please purchase a new one.

VORISCHTSMASSNAHMEN FÜR KORREKTEN BETRIEB

Wird dieses Gerät in einem offenen oder geschlossenen Gehäuse oder Gestell installiert, muß
an allen Seiten ausreichender Abstand (jeweils mindestens 10 cm neben, über und hinter dem
Gerät) zur Gewährleistung eines einwandfreien Temperaturausgleichs eingehalten werden.
Niemals die Ventilationsöffnungen blockieren!
(Werden die Ventilationsöffnungen durch Papier, Stoffdecken etc. blockiert, kann ein Hitzestau
auftreten.)
Niemals offenes Feuer (z.B. Kerze etc.) auf dem Gerät plazieren.
Bei der Entsorgung von Batterien müssen unbedingt die geltenden Gesetze und Verordnungen
zum Umweltschutz und zur Müllbeseitigung beachtet werden!
Das Gerät niemals Spritzwasser etc. aussetzen.
Das Gerät niemals in einem Badezimmer oder einem Raum mit Wasserversorgung verwenden.
Auf diesem Gerät dürfen keine Behälter, die Flüssigkeit (Kosmetik, Medizin, Blumenvase oder

-topf, Trinkgefäß etc.) enthalten, abgestellt werden.

(Falls Wasser in das Geräteinnere eindringt, kann dies Stromschläge mit Feuergefahr zur Folge

Bei der Einwirkung von Spannungsspitzen (z.B. Gewitter) schaltet sich das Gerät selbsttätig
aus. In diesem Fall (bei erloschener POWER-LED) das Netzkabel abziehen, mindestens eine
Minute warten und erneut anschließen. Falls die Netzleitung von häufig einwirkenden
Spannungsspitzen betroffen ist, sollte an der Netzsteckdose ein Überspannungsschutz installiert
werden, der im Fachhandel erhältlich ist.

Den Ladebetrieb im Umgebungstemperatur-bereich zwischen

10°C und 35°C durchführen. (Die ideale Umgebungstemperatur
für den Ladebetrieb liegt zwischen 20°C und 25°C). Bei zu
niedrigen Umgebungstemperaturen kann der Batteriesatz ggf.
nicht vollständig geladen werden.

●

Beim Anschluß an das Netz-/Ladegerät muss das Netzkabel bis
zum Anschlag eingesteckt werden.

Trennen Sie unbedingt das

Ladegerät ab. Schließen Sie das Netzkabel
an das Netz-/Ladegerät und dann an eine
Netzsteckdose an. Die Betriebsanzeige
(POWER) leuchtet.

Nehmen Sie die Schutzkappe vom

Batteriesatz ab. Den Batteriesatz am Netz-/
Ladegerät so anbringen, dass die Plus- und
Minuspolmarkierungen jeweils korrekt
aufeinander ausgerichtet sind. Die
Ladeanzeige (CHARGE) beginnt zu
blinken. Dies bestätigt, dass der
Ladevorgang begonnen hat.
Wenn gleichzeitig zwei Akkus angebracht
sind, beginnt der Ladevorgang bei dem
zuerst angebrachten Akku.

Wenn die Ladeanzeige (CHARGE) vom

Blink- auf ein Dauerleuchtsignal wechselt,
ist der Ladevorgang abgeschlossen. Den
Batteriesatz abziehen und anheben.
Vergessen Sie nicht, das Netzkabel des
Netz-/Ladegeräts von der Netzsteckdose
abzuziehen.

BEI GEBRAUCH . . .

Das Netz-/Ladegerät ist speziell für den Ladebetrieb von Batteriesatz BN-V416, BN-V428 und/oder BN­V438 vorgesehen. Der Ladebetrieb für einen Batteriesatz der Ausführung BN-V408 ist nicht möglich.

● Bei Ladebetrieb für einen neuen oder besonders lange gelagerten Batteriesatz leuchtet die

Ladeanzeige ggf. nicht auf. In diesem Fall den Batteriesatz abnehmen und erneut anbringen.

● Wird während des Ladebetriebs das Gleichspannungskabel am Netz-/Ladegerät angebracht, erfolgt

die Spannungsversorgung für den Camcorder und der Ladebetrieb wird vorzeitig abgebrochen.
Gelegentlich kann das Netz-/Ladegerät bei Betrieb leichte Brummvibrationen abgeben. Dies ist keine Fehlfunktion.

●

● Das Netz-/Ladegerät erwärmt sich während des Betriebs. Dies ist keine Fehlfunktion. Sicherstellen,

daß das Netz-/Ladegerät an einem Ort aufgestellt wird, an dem kein Hitzestau auftreten kann.

● Falls sich die Batteriesatz-Nutzungsdauer nach voller Aufladung deutlich verkürzt, ist der Batteriesatz

verbraucht und nicht mehr nutzbar. Einen neuen Batteriesatz verwenden.

PRECAUTIONS POUR ASSURER LE FONCTIONNEMENT CORRECT

Si le matériel est installé dans un coffret ou sur une étagère, s’assurer qu’il y a un espace suffisant
sur tous les côtés pour permettre la ventilation (10 cm ou plus sur les deux côtés, au dessus et à
l’arrière).
Ne pas boucher les orifices de ventilation.
(Si les orifices de ventilation sont bouchés par un journal, un tissu, etc., la chaleur peut ne pas
s’éliminer.)
Aucune source à flamme nue, telle que des bougies allumées, ne doit être placée sur l’appareil.
En jetant des batteries aux ordures, les problèmes d’environnement doivent être pris en considération
et les réglementations locales ou la législation concernant le rebut de ces batteries doivent être
strictement respectées.
L’appareil ne doit pas être exposé à l’égouttage ni aux éclaboussements.
Ne pas utiliser cet appareil dans une salle de bain, ni dans des endroits avec de l’eau.
Aussi, ne pas placer de récipient rempli d’eau ou de liquides (tels des produits cosmétiques, des
médicaments, des vases de fleurs, des plantes en pot, des tasses, etc.) sur le dessus de cet appareil.
(Si de l’eau ou un liquide entre dans ce matériel, un incendie ou un choc électrique risque de se
produire.)
Cet appareil s'arrête automatiquement de fonctionner à l'application d'un bruit excessif, comme la
foudre. Dans ce cas (quand POWER LED s'éteint), débrancher le cordon d'alimentation et attendre
une minute avant de rebrancher le cordon. Dans un environnement dans lequel des phénomènes
comme la foudre sont fréquents, utiliser un produit tel que limitateur de tension, disponible
séparément dans le commerce, qui peut se brancher dans la ligne secteur.

S’assurer de débrancher le cordon CC du

camescope de l’adaptateur secteur/
chargeur. Raccordez une extrémité du
cordon d'alimentation de l'adaptateur
secteur/chargeur à l'appareil et l'autre
extrémité dans une prise murale. Le témoin
POWER s’allume.

Retirer le capuchon de protection de la

batterie. Monter la batterie avec les
marques et alignées avec les marques
correspondantes sur l’adaptateur secteur/
chargeur. Le témoin CHARGE se met à
clignoter pour indiquer que la recharge a
commencé.
Si deux batteries sont installées, elles
seront chargées dans leur ordre
d'installation.

Quand le témoin CHARGE cesse de

clignoter mais reste allumé, la recharge est
terminée. Faire coulisser la batterie et
l’enlever. N’oubliez pas de débrancher le
cordon d’alimentation de l’adaptateur
secteur/chargeur de la prise de courant.

MEMO:

Effectuer la recharge où la température

●

est entre 10˚C et 35˚C. 20˚C à 25˚C est
la gamme de température idéale pour la
recharge. Si l’environnement est trop
froid, la recharge peut être incomplète.

●

Au branchement du cordon
d'alimentation dans l'adaptateur secteur/
chargeur, l'enfoncer à fond.

MEMO:

●

Utilisez bien le câble CC fourni avec
l'adaptateur secteur/chargeur.

●

A l'utilisation du câble CC, raccordez bien
l'extrémité du câble avec filtre en ligne à
l'adaptateur secteur/chargeur. Le filtre en
ligne améliore les performances du matériel.

PENDANT L’UTILISATION . . .

● L’adaptateur secteur/chargeur AA-P30 est spécialement conçu pour la recharge des batteries

BN-V416, BN-V428 ou BN-V438. Il ne peut pas être utilisé pour charger une BN-V408.

● Quand vous rechargez une batterie neuve, ou une pile qui n’a pas été utilisée pendant

longtemps, le témoin de charge peut ne pas s’allumer. Dans ce cas, enlevez la batterie puis
remettez-la en place.

● Si vous raccordez le câble CC au connecteur CC quand une batterie est en cours de recharge,

l’alimentation sera fournie au camescope et la recharge sera partielle.

● Un bruit de vibration provenant de l’intérieur de l’adaptateur secteur/chargeur peut être

audible. C’est normal.

● L’adaptateur secteur/chargeur produit de l’électricité et peut devenir chaud pendant la

recharge. C’est normal. Assurez-vous que l’adaptateur secteur/chargeur se trouve dans un
endroit bien aéré.

● Si la durée de fonctionnement de la batterie reste très courte même après l’avoir

complètement rechargée, la batterie est usée et elle a besoin d’être remplacée. Veuillez en
acheter une nouvelle.
