Thank you for purchasing the JVC battery charger. Use this unit to recharge the JVC battery pack for exclusive use with the JVC Digital Video Camera. To avoid problems and obtain the best results, please read this instruction booklet carefully before use.

To avoid electric shock or damage to the unit, first firmly insert the small end of the power cord into the battery charger until it is no longer wobbly, and then plug the larger end of the power cord into an AC outlet.

When you are not using this unit for a long period of time, it is recommended that you disconnect the power cord from AC outlet.

To prevent electric shock, do not open the cabinet. No user serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified service personnel.

This battery charger is for use exclusively with JVC Digital Video Camera.
This battery charger is in conformity with the provisions and protection requirements of the corresponding European Directives.
This equipment is designed exclusively for JVC digital video cameras and battery packs.
NOTE:
The rating plate (serial number plate) is on the bottom of the unit.
When the equipment is installed in a cabinet or on a shelf, make sure that it has sufficient space on all sides to allow for ventilation (10 cm or more on both sides, on top and at the rear).
Do not block the ventilation holes.
(If the ventilation holes are blocked by a newspaper, or cloth etc. the heat may not be able to get out.)
No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the apparatus.
When discarding batteries, environmental problems must be considered and the local rules or laws governing the disposal of these batteries must be followed strictly.
The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing.
Do not use this equipment in a bathroom or places with water.
Also do not place any containers filled with water or liquids (such as cosmetics or medicines, flower vases, potted plants, cups etc.) on top of this unit.
(If water or liquid is allowed to enter this equipment, fire or electric shock may be caused.)

In case of connecting the Power Cord Plug to AC wall outlet other than American National Standard C73 series type, use an AC plug adapter, so called “Siemens Plug”, as shown below.
For this AC plug adapter, consult your nearest JVC dealer.

Connection to the mains supply in the United Kingdom. DO NOT cut off the mains plug from this equipment.
If the plug fitted is not suitable for the power points in your home or the cable is too short to reach a power point, then obtain an appropriate safety approved extension lead or consult your dealer.
BE SURE to replace the fuse only with an identical approved type, as originally fitted, and to replace the fuse cover.

The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:
Blue to N (Neutral) or Black
Brown to L (Live) or Red
If these colours do not correspond with the terminal identifications of your plug, connect as follows:
Blue wire to terminal coded N (Neutral) or coloured black. Brown wire to terminal coded L (Live) or coloured Red.
If in doubt — consult a competent electrician.

1 Connect the power cord to the battery charger.
2 Plug the power cord into an AC outlet.
3 Remove the battery pack’s protective cap. Attach the battery pack with its arrow pointing toward the lamp side of the battery pack mount on the battery charger. The CHARGE lamp begins blinking to indicate charging has started.
4 When the CHARGE lamp stops blinking but stays lit, charging is finished.
5 Slide the battery in the opposite direction of the arrow and lift off. Remember to unplug the power cord from the AC outlet.
NOTE:
Perform charging where the temperature is between 10°C (50°F) and 35°C (95°F). 20°C (68°F) to 25°C (77°F) is the ideal temperature range for charging. If the environment is too cold, charging may be incomplete.

During Use . . .
●The battery charger is specifically designed to charge the battery packs BN-VF808U, BN-VF815U or BN-VF823U.
●When charging a brand new battery pack, or one that has been in storage for an extended period, the CHARGE lamp may not come on. In this case, remove the battery pack, then reattach and try charging again.
●Vibration noise can sometimes be heard coming from the inside of the battery charger. This is normal.
●The battery charger processes electricity internally, and will become warm during use. This is normal. Make sure to use the battery charger in well-ventilated areas only.
●If the battery operation time remains extremely short even after having been fully charged, the battery is worn out and needs to be replaced. Please purchase a new one.

1 Schließen Sie das Netzkabel an das Akku-Ladegerät an.
2 Schließen Sie das Netzkabel an eine Netzsteckdose an.
3 Entfernen Sie die Schutzkappe des Akkusatzes. Legen Sie den Akkusatz so in das Akku-Ladegerät ein, dass der Pfeil in Richtung der Anzeigenleuchten am Akkuhalter zeigt. Die Ladeanzeige (CHARGE) beginnt zu blinken, was anzeigt, dass der Ladevorgang begonnen hat.
4 Wenn die CHARGE-Anzeige vom Blinkauf ein Dauerlichtsignal wechselt, ist der Ladevorgang abgeschlossen.
5 Ziehen Sie den Akku entgegen der Pfeilrichtung ab und nehmen Sie ihn heraus. Vergessen Sie nicht, das Netzkabel aus der Netzsteckdose zu ziehen.
HINWEIS:
Führen Sie den Ladevorgang bei Umgebungstemperaturen zwischen 10°C und 35°C durch. 20°C bis 25°C sind der ideale Temperaturbereich zum Laden. Bei zu niedrigen Umgebungstemperaturen können die Akkus ggf. nicht vollständig geladen werden.

●Das Akku-Ladegerät ist speziell für das Laden der Akkusätze BN-VF808U, BN-VF815U und BN-VF823U vorgesehen.
●Beim Laden eines ganz neuen oder eines über längere Zeit gelagerten Akkusatzes kann es vorkommen, dass die CHARGE-Anzeige nicht aufleuchtet. Entnehmen Sie in diesem Fall den Akkusatz und schließen Sie ihn erneut an.
●Gelegentlich können Brummgeräusche aus dem Inneren des Akku-Ladegeräts auftreten. Dies ist keine Fehlfunktion.
●Das Akku-Ladegerät verarbeitet im Inneren Elektrizität und wird während des Gebrauchs warm. Dies ist keine Fehlfunktion. Verwenden Sie das Akku-Ladegerät nur in gut belüfteten Bereichen.
●Falls die Betriebszeit eines Akkus trotz voller Aufladung sehr kurz ist, ist der Akku verbraucht und muss ersetzt werden. Bitte erstehen Sie einen neuen.

Pour éviter tout risque d’électrocution ou de détérioration de l’appareil, insérer d’abord fermement la petite extrémité du cordon

UTILISATION DE L’ADAPTATEUR POUR PRISE SECTEUR
Pour brancher la fiche du cordon d’alimentation dans une prise secteur différente du type C73 de l’American National Standard, utiliser un adaptateur pour prise secteur, également appelé « Fiche Siemens », comme illustré ci-dessous.
Pour cet adaptateur pour prise secteur, consulter le revendeur JVC le plus proche.

1 Brancher le cordon d’alimentation sur le chargeur de batterie.
2 Brancher le cordon d’alimentation dans une prise secteur.
3 Retirer le couvercle de protection de la batterie. Insérer la batterie dans le chargeur en la présentant de façon que la flèche soit orientée vers le témoin de charge. Le témoin de CHARGE clignote pour indiquer que la recharge a commencé.
4 Lorsque le témoin de CHARGE s’arrête de clignoter et reste allumé, la recharge est terminée.
5 Faire glisser la batterie dans le sens inverse de la flèche puis la retirer. Ne pas oublier de débrancher le cordon d’alimentation de la prise secteur.
REMARQUE :
La recharge doit être effectuée lorsque la température est comprise entre 10 °C et 35 °C. La température de recharge idéale est comprise entre 20 °C et 25 °C. Si la température ambiante est trop basse, la recharge risque d’être incomplète.

Pendant l’utilisation . . .
●Le chargeur de batterie est spécifiquement conçu pour la recharge des batteries BN-VF808U, BN-VF815U ou BN-VF823U.
●Lors de la recharge d’une batterie neuve ou d’une batterie stockée depuis longtemps, le témoin de charge risque de ne pas s’allumer. Dans ce cas, retirer la batterie puis l’insérer de nouveau dans le chargeur.
●Un bruit de vibration est parfois perceptible en provenance de l’intérieur du chargeur de batterie. C’est normal.
●Le chargeur de batterie chauffe pendant la recharge. C’est normal. Veiller à utiliser le chargeur de batterie uniquement dans des endroits bien ventilés.
●Si le temps de fonctionnement de la batterie reste extrêmement court, même après une recharge complète, la batterie est détériorée et doit être remplacée par une batterie neuve.

OPMERKING:
Het plaatje met de technische gegevens (plaatje met serienummer) bevindt zich aan de onderkant van de lader.
Wanneer het toestel in een kast of op een plank wordt gezet, moet u er op letten dat er voldoende ventilatieruimte aan alle kanten van het toestel overblijft (10 cm of meer aan beide zijkanten, aan de bovenkant en aan de achterkant).
Blokkeer de ventilatie-openingen niet.

1 Steek het netsnoer in de acculader.
2 Steek de stekker in het stopcontact.
3 Verwijder het beschermkapje van de accu. Plaats de accu in de acculader met de pijl wijzend in de richting van het lampje. Het CHARGE-lampje begint te knipperen ten teken dat het laden is begonnen.
4 Wanneer het CHARGE-lampje niet meer knippert, maar blijft branden, is de accu opgeladen.
5 Schuif de accu in tegengestelde richting van de pijl en neem de accu uit de lader. Vergeet niet de stekker van het netsnoer uit het stopcontact te trekken.
OPMERKING:
Laad de accu op bij een temperatuur tussen de 10°C en 35°C. De ideale oplaadtemperatuur ligt tussen de 20°C en de 25°C. Als de omgevingstemperatuur te laag is kan het voorkomen dat de accu niet geheel oplaadt.

Tijdens gebruik . . .
●De acculader is speciaal ontworpen voor het laden van de volgende accu's: BN-VF808U, BN-VF815U of BN-VF823U.
●Wanneer u een geheel nieuwe accu of een accu die gedurende lange tijd niet is gebruikt, oplaadt, kan het voorkomen dat het CHARGE-lampje niet gaat branden. Neem in dat geval de accu uit de lader, plaats de accu opnieuw in de lader en probeer het nog eens.
●Soms is een trillende geluid hoorbaar uit het binnenste van de acculader. Dit is normaal.
●De acculader verwerkt binnenin elektriciteit en wordt warm tijdens het gebruik. Dit is normaal. Let erop dat u de acculader alleen gebruikt op een plaats waar voldoende ventilatie is.
●Als de accu extreem kort blijft functioneren, ook als u hem volledig hebt opgeladen, is hij uitgeput en is het tijd voor een nieuwe accu. Schaf een nieuwe accu aan.
