and access the brew group for replacement, cleaning and sanitizing.

For regular maintenance, clean and sanitize the brew group. Replace the brew group piston seals and drainage valve o-rings annually, subject to usage.

1. Unplug the machine and place it on a dry surface away from electrical equipment and water.

2. Remove the Drip tray/drain pan completely.

4. Remove the Jura logo from the rear panel of the machine. This is tricky. Twist the logo counterclockwise to

10’oclock position. Slightly wiggle it until it pops off.
5. Remove the oval head screw using the oval head key. There is only one screw that needs to be removed.

6. Push the black locking mechanism upward to unlock the left and right side panels.

7. Use Torx T10 driver to remove the two T10 screws from the top rear of the machine.

8. Remove the right side panel. This is a challenging step. Please exercise caution. Gently tap the side panel from the front part of the side panel towards the back of the machine. Please note that side panel is locked into the internal casing of the machine via hooks. These hooks must be released to completely remove the side panel. Apply gentle push/tap with your hand towards the back as if you are sliding the side panel
backwards. Release the hooks from the front first that are locked into the front casing.

9. Once you remove the right side panel, brew group will be exposed. You can now replace the brew group.

10. Skip this step if you just want to fix the brew group. Remove the left side panel. Similar to step 8 above, this is a challenging step. Please exercise caution. Gently tap the side panel from the front part of the side panel towards the back of the machine. Please note that side panel is locked into the internal casing of the machine via hooks. These hooks must be released to completely remove the side panel. Apply gentle push/tap with your hand towards the back as if you are sliding the side panel backwards. Release the hooks from the front first that are locked into the front casing. The boiler, pump, electronic board, membrane regulator, electronic ceramic valve will be exposed once the left panel is removed. If you only need to
fix/replace the brew group then it’s recommended that you only remove the right side panel. Leave the left
side panel intact. Remove only when you are trying to isolate a leak or any other malfunctions (such as leaking membrane regulator, electronic ceramic valve etc) in the machine.

11. Remove the brew group. Brew group is located behind the right side panel (pre ground coffee doser side).

There are 3 T10 Torx screws that are holding the brew group. You will need to remove these 3 T10 Torx
screws to completely remove the brew group.

12. Using the TORX T10 screw driver, first remove the 2 T10 screws from the right side.

13. Remove the ground coffee guide, circled in red below. It will need to be snapped off. Hold it firmly with one hand and slightly push it upwards. Gently wiggle it until it comes off. The third T10 Torx screw will be
exposed once the ground coffee guide is removed .

14. Remove the third Torx T10 screw.

15. Slide/swing the brew group outward.

16. Disconnect the transparent coffee dispensing tube, as circled in red above.

17. Wipe clean the inside chamber of the machine after the brew group is removed. Typically you will find

ground coffee beans and white calcium deposits.
18. Reverse the steps above to close the machine. Replace the side panels, ensure the panels are hooked into the correct spot and are firmly secured before you tighten the oval head screw. Ensure the locking mechanism on the rear panel is in the upward position. Pull it down once both side panels are installed. Replace the oval head screw.
