WARRANTY
JET products carry a limited warranty which varies in duration based upon the product (MW = Metalworking, WW =
Woodworking).
WHAT IS COVERED?
This warranty covers any defects in workmanship or materials subject to the exceptions stated below. Cutting tools,
abrasives and other consumables are excluded from warranty coverage.
WHO IS COVERED?
This warranty covers only the initial purchaser of the product.
WHAT IS THE PERIOD OF COVERAGE?
The general JET warranty lasts for the time period specified in the product literature of each product.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED?
Five Year Warranties do not cover woodworking (WW) products used for commercial, industrial or educational
purposes. Woodworking products with Five Year Warranties that are used for commercial, industrial or education
purposes revert to a One Year Warranty. This warranty does not cover defects due directly or indirectly to misuse,
abuse, negligence or accidents, normal wear-and-tear, improper repair or alterations, or lack of maintenance.
HOW TO GET SERVICE
The product or part must be returned for examination, postage prepaid, to a location designated by us. For the name
of the location nearest you, please call 1-800-274-6848.
You must provide proof of initial purchase date and an explanation of the complaint must accompany the
merchandise. If our inspection discloses a defect, we will repair or replace the product, or refund the purchase price,
at our option. We will return the repaired product or replacement at our expense unless it is determined by us that
there is no defect, or that the defect resulted from causes not within the scope of our warranty in which case we will,
at your direction, dispose of or return the product. In the event you choose to have the product returned, you will be
responsible for the shipping and handling costs of the return.
HOW STATE LAW APPLIES
This warranty gives you specific legal rights; you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
LIMITATIONS ON THIS WARRANTY
WALTER MEIER (MANUFACTURING) INC., LIMITS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES TO THE PERIOD OF THE
LIMITED WARRANTY FOR EACH PRODUCT. EXCEPT AS STATED HEREIN, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR

3.0 Safety warnings
1. Read and understand the entire owner's manual before attempting assembly or operation.
2. Read and understand the warnings posted on the jac k and in this manual. Failure to com ply with all of
these warnings may c ause serious i njury.
3. Replace warning labels if they become obscured or rem ov ed.
4. This is a lif ting device only. Do not move or dolly the v ehicle while on the jack. The load shall be
supported immediately by jack stands, or other appr opr iate means.
5. Inspect jack before each use. Do not use jack if it is damaged, has been altered or parts have
loosened.
6. Do not exceed rated lift c apaci ty. Overloading can cause damage to, or failure of, the jac k.
7. Always center load on saddl e.
8. Do not introduce bl oc k s or other it ems between load and jack saddle.
9. Lift only on areas of the v ehicl e specified by the vehicle manuf acturer.
10. This jack is designed for use on hard, level surf ac es capable of sustaining t he load. Use on other than
hard, level surfac es can r esul t in jack instability and possible loss of load.
11. Clear obstructions from around jack area, such as tools, gravel, etc., bef or e lift ing.

15. Use only approved hydraulic fluid (ISO 32 hydraulic oil, or “jack oil”). Use of other fluids, such as
brake fluid or transmission oil, can damage seals and cause possi ble jack failure.
16. Do not modify the jack.
17. Fail ure to comply with all of these warnings may resul t in loss of load, dam age to jack, and/or f ailure
resulting in personal injury or property damage.

1. Insert Upper Handle (30) int o Lower Handle
(29) and fasten with Hex Cap B olt (28) .
2. Remove Handle Bolt ( 25).
3. Insert handle assembly into Handle Socket
(23). Make sure handl e assembly engages
Gear Shaft ( 27) by turning handl e back and
forth and observing movement of Handle
Socket Gear (26).
4. Install Handle Bolt (25) to secure handle
assembly.
7.0 Lubrication
8.0 Operating instructions
Important: During shipment and handling, air
sometimes gets into the hydraulic system
causing poor lifting performance. Before initial
operation, purge any air from system by fully
opening pump release valve (turn handle
counter-clockwise). Then, while holding saddle
down, pump handle rapidly several times.
8.1 Raising the jack
1. Close release valve by turning handle
clockwise unti l resistance i s felt . Do not over
tighten.
2. Place jack dir ectly under obj ect to be lifted,
and pump handle to raise saddle t o contact
point. Make sure saddle accepts weight
firmly and cent r ally .
Note: Lubricate before initial operation, and
periodically to ensure smooth operation.
Lubricate jack at poi nts 1 through 6, as i ndicated
in Figure 1.

1. Handle: Use #2 tube grease on release
valve gears belo w handle and lightl y grease
handle at point where it fi ts into socket.
2. Wheels: Use 30W oil on axles and caster
bearings.
3. Lifting Arm: Inject #2 tube grease into
grease fitting.
4. Saddle and linkage: Use 30W oil on all
moving and pivoti ng par t s.
5. Handle socket pivot bolts: Lubricate with
30W oil.
3. Check positioning under slight load to
confirm jack or load will not slip, or move
suddenly.
4. Raise jack by pum ping handle until desired
height is reached.
5. Af ter lifting, secure and t ransfer l oad to jack
stands or other appr opriate means. Do not use jack as the only means of suppo rt.
8.2 Lowering the jack
Slowly tur n handle counter-clockwise. Speed of
descent is control led by amount rel ease valve is
turned.
9.0 Maintenance
Store jack i n a safe and dr y environment, away
from chil dren or unaut hori zed personnel . Al ways
store jack in fully lowered position, with handle in
upright positi on.
Keep jack clean and pr operl y lubr ic at ed.
6. Plunger and plunger pin: Use #2 tube
grease to lubricate connection between
pump plunger and pin in handle socket.
