Using the Material Support Stand
Although the operation of
the material support stand is simple, the
operator must perform the steps carefully.
The material suppo rt stand can handl e heavy
loads, bu t i f not u sed correctl y, severe i nj u ry
could result.
Note: The r oller support stand must be used on
a level surfac e and bolted to the floor whenever
possible.
Adjusting Roller Head Height
1. Adjust the hei ght of the r oller head by raising
or lowering the inner c olum n.
2. Lock the position of the roller head by
tightening t he loc ki ng handle.
3. The amount of clamping force between the
column clamp and the inner column
determines the amount weight the stand can
support.
4. Keep the inner column clean. Accumulated
oil, grease, splashed coolant s, or m achi ning
debris caught between the i nner c olumn and
column clamp will reduce the amount of
clamping force.
Moving Material on the Rollers
1. Adj ust the roll er head height so that the top
of the roller is at the same height as the saw
table.
2. The rollers are equipped with ball bearings
to provide easy roller action.
3. When usi ng multiple stands, m ake sure the
stands are aligned so the material is
centered over the stand. The material
should glide sm oothly over the roller s. Move
the materi al slowly over the roll ers; heavier
material will be dif ficult to stop if it is m oved
too quickly.
7
4. Keep hands and fingers away from the
rollers to avoid pinching hands or fingers
between mat eri al and the rollers.
