Immediately call your gas supplier from a
neighbor's phone. Follow the gas supplier's instructions.
Ifyou cannot reach your gas supplier, call the
fire department.
Extinguish any open flame.

supplier.

Read before operating your cooktop
All appliances - regardlessof the manufacturer- have the potentialthrough
improperor carelessuse to create safety problems, Thereforethe following
safety precautionsshould be observed:
1. Be sure yourapplianceisproperlyinstalledand groundedby a qualified
technician.
2. Neveruseyourapplianceforwarmingorheatingtheroom. Thiswarningis basedon safetyconsiderations.
3. Childrenshouldnotbeleftaloneor unattendedinarea whereapplianceis in use. They shouldneverbe allowedto sit or standonany part of the appliance,

9. Selectcookwarelargeenoughtoproperlycontainfoodandavoidboilovers orspillovers.Thiswillsaveoncleaningandpreventhazardousaccumulations
offood,since heavysplatteringorspilloversleft on a cooktopcan ignite.

13. CAUTION - Do not store items of interestto children in cabinets above cooktop-childrenclimbingonthecooktopto reachitemscouldbeseriously
injured.
14. Do nottouchsurfaceburnerareas oranyareas nearburners.Duringand afteruse,theseareasmaybehotenoughtocauseburns,Avoidcontactwith
theseareasby clothingor otherflammablematerialsuntilthey have had sufficienttime to cool.
15. Do notheat unopenedfood containers. Build-upof pressuremay cause containerto burstand resultininjury.
16. Keep all controls"OFF" whenunitis notinuse.
17. GREASE - Greaseis flammableand shouldbe handledcarefully. Never leaveanycookingoperationunattended.Let fatcoolbeforeattemptingto
handleit. Do notallowgrease to collectaroundthe cooktop, Wipe up
spilloversimmediately.
18. Ifthecooktopisinstallednearawindow,properprecautionsshouldbetaken
topreventcurtainsfromblowingoverburnerscreatinga FIRE HAZARD.
19. Do notusealuminumfoiltolineburnerspilloverbowl. Restrictionofnormal
airflowmay resultin unsafeoperation.

21. Alwaysallowhotpans to coolin a safe place outof the reachof small children.
22. A faintgas odormayindicateagasleak. Ifa gas odorisdetected,shutoff
the gassupplytothecooktop. Callyourinstalleror localgas companyto havethe possibleleakchecked. Never use a match or other flame to locate a gas leak.
