Check you have all the tools and accessories required to complete the
installation correctly. Isolate the power before installation.
1. Connect driver to mains supply as shown in Fig.1 on the left.
Ensure driver is located in a dry location or in a suitable IP rated
box. Connect the driver to the LED tape using the female and
male connector as shown in Fig.2.
2. When the driver is secured you can start to install the LED tape
by removing the sticky back plastic and placing on to a clean at
surface, making sure the tape is secured properly to the surface.
Use the PCB retaining clips at regular intervals (a spacing of
200mm is recommended) to ensure security of installed tape.
3. If the tape requires cutting depending on application use the
scissor marks on the tape (see Fig.3). To reconnect the tape using
the supplied (and optional accessories listed on page 2)
accessories, remove 4-5mm of the silicon that seals the LED’s
using a knife and carefully strip from the tape to expose the
copper to ensure a good connection. Once copper is exposed join
to the connector by slotting the exposed tape into connector
and push down cap (see Fig.4 for reference). To ensure IP rating
in maintained each connector requires heat shrink tubing to be
placed over each connection as shown in Fig.5.
