1.3 Battery charge display
• All diodes illuminate: Maximum driving range!
• Only red diodes illuminate:
Battery charge display
Decreased driving range!
• Both red diodes blink:
Very low driving range!
• Only one red diode blinks:
Battery reserve = charge batteries immediately!
NOTE:
Total discharge protection: After a certain drive time on reserve battery power the electronics
switches the drive off automatically and the wheelchair will be immobile.

1.4 Activate / deactivate drive-away lock
Activate drive-away lock
• Switch on remote.
• Run the end of the magnetic key (Invacare® Logo) over the sensor
area (1) on the remote (key symbol). The signal horn will sound
once briefly. The remote switches off automatically. The drive-away
lock is activated.

• Switch on remote. The status bar indicator blinks slowly in red.
• Run the end of the magnetic key (Invacare® Logo) over the sensor
area (1) on the remote (key symbol).

• Switch on remote (ON/OFF key). The displays on the remote illuminate. The wheelchair is
ready to drive.
• Set the drive level ("Drive level/setting mode" button - see section "Layout of the Remote" on
page 5).
• The drive level display shows speed 1 (slow) up to 5 (fast).
Can the electronic system programming be adapted?
The electronic controller is programmed with standard values during manufacture. Your
Invacare® dealer can carry out programming tailored to fit your requirements.
Will the wheelchair not drive after switching on?
Check the drive-away lock (see chapter "Activate / deactivate drive-away lock" on page 8)
and the status bar indicator (see chapter "ON/OFF diode (status bar indicator)" on page 7.).

1.5.1 How a wheelchair with "Indirect Steering" reacts to joystick movements.
"Indirect Steering" occurs by individually applying power to the drive wheels, and is found on
wheelchairs with front, rear and middle wheel drive.

1.6 Operating the electrical adjustment options
Electrical adjustment options, such as electrical leg supports or an electrical backrest, are operated
by the joystick.

1.7.1 Error Codes
The drive electronics system is capable of clearing some faults automatically. In this case, the
status display will stop flashing. To achieve this, switch the joystick box off and on again several
times. Wait each time for about 5 seconds before switching the joystick box on again. If that does
not eliminate the fault, identify the error by means of the flash codes listed below.
