TRAKKER Antares Battery Pack Instruction Sheet
The TRAKKER® Antares™ lithium-ion battery pack is designed for use in your
TRAKKER Antares 2420 or 2425 hand-held terminal and must be recharged using the
TRAKKER Antares TZ2400 Battery Charger.
Before using the battery pack, please read this instruction sheet thoroughly and retain it
for future reference.
Charging the Battery Pack
• You must fully charge your battery pack prior to using it in your TRAKKER
Antares 2420 or 2425 terminal.
• Usually a battery pack is fully charged in less than three hours.
• Remove the battery pack from the charger within 24 hours after charging is
complete.
• Battery packs can be charged after partial discharge without affecting the original
battery capacity.
Note: Although the Intermec battery pack looks similar to commercially available
video camera battery packs, it will not fit in other battery chargers.
Caution
Use only the Intermec TZ2400 Battery Charger to recharge the Intermec battery pack
(P/N 063278 or 068537). Recharging this battery pack with any other charger could
result in damage to the battery pack.

Installing the Battery Pack
Before installing the Intermec-labeled battery pack (P/N 063278 or 068537), make sure
you remove the rubber bumper from the terminal
battery door. The terminal battery door will not close
if the bumper is on the door after the battery pack is
installed.
Note: If you are using a Sony-labeled battery pack,
make sure the rubber bumper is installed over the
ridge near the wall on the terminal battery door. The
rubber bumper on the terminal battery door keeps
the battery pack in place.

Important Recommendations
• Charge the battery pack immediately before use, or within a couple of days of use.
• Do not short circuit the battery pack and keep it away from metallic items.
• Do not disassemble, open, or modify the battery pack.
• Do not drop the battery pack or apply mechanical shocks or pressure to it.
• Do not expose the battery pack to excessive heat or fire.
• Do not store the battery pack at temperatures above 50ºC (122ºF), such as inside a
car on a hot day or in direct sunlight, as this may damage the battery pack.
• Do not immerse the battery pack in water or get the battery pack wet.
• Do not solder directly to the battery pack contacts.
• Use the Intermec battery pack (P/N 063278 or 068537) only with your TRAKKER
Antares 2420 or 2425 terminal. Use of this battery pack in other applications could
result in damage to the device or battery pack.
• For maximum battery efficiency, the recommended temperature range for charging
and storing battery packs is 10ºC to 30ºC (50ºF to 86ºF).
• Keep the battery contact holes clean and free of dust and dirt. Remove any
accumulated debris using a non-metallic pointed object, such as the sharpened end
of a wooden pencil.
• Do not recharge battery packs in locations that are extremely hot or cold, dusty or
dirty, very humid, or subject to vibration.
Disposal Instructions
Dispose of used battery packs properly. If you are unsure of how to properly dispose of
this battery pack, contact your local Intermec office for disposal information.
• Discarded battery packs may create a safety hazard. Before disposal, tape the
battery pack contact terminals with electrical insulating tape.
• Keep away from children.
• Do not disassemble or dispose of in fire .
