APPLICATIONS:

All night Safety and Security Lighting for walkways, entrances, parking lots, farm yard light­ing, recreational areas . . . Protective Lighting Control for homes, schools, commercial and
industrial buildings.

INSTALLATION:

Connection to junction box must be watertight. The photocontrol
can be mounted directly through a standard 1/2” knockout. Use
the included washer and nut. Alternatively, mount through a tapped
opening using suitable tape or sealant on nipple.

Mounting is recommended in the upright position with cell
facing North for optimum efficiency.

SOME HELPFUL HINTS FOR BETTER PHOTOCONTROL INSTALLATION: For best
results, the photocontrol must be installed so that the cell faces NORTH to sense only the
natural light that exists in the area.
Protect the window side of the photocontrol from any direct artificial light that may be on
after dark, from windows, signs, and the artificial light being controlled. Locate the photo­control in as open a spot as possible. Particularly keep it out of corners and overhanging
eaves. Wire photocontrol as indicated in wiring diagram above.
TIME DELAY FEATURE (30 seconds minimum) prevents false switching due to temporary
cloud movements or momentary flashes of lightning or car headlights.
LIGHTS WILL BE ON WHEN PHOTOCONTROL IS FIRST INSTALLED. If installed dur­ing daylight hours, control will turn off after a short delay. When testing, it will have a
delayed response.

INSTALACIÓN:

La conexión a la caja de empalmes debe ser hermética. El fotocon­trol puede montarse directamente a través de un orificio ciego
estándar de 1/2” (1,27 cm). Utilice la arandela y la tuerca que se
incluyen. De manera alternativa, puede montarse a través de
una apertura roscada utilizando una cinta adhesiva o un sellador

ALGUNAS SUGERENCIAS ÚTILES PARA OBTENER UN MEJOR FOTOCONTROL INSTALACIÓN:
Para obtener mejores resultados, el fotocontrol debe estar instalado de modo que las células estén orienta­das hacia el NORTE para captar solamente la luz natural que exista en el área. Proteja el lado de la ventana
del fotocontrol de cualquier luz artificial directa encendida después de que oscurezca, ya sea de ventanas,
letreros y de la luz artificial que está siendo controlada.
Ubique el fotocontrol en un lugar lo más abierto posible. En especial, manténgalo alejado de rincones y
aleros corridos.
Realice la conexión del fotocontrol como se muestra en el diagrama de conexión más arriba.
CARACTERÍSTICA DE RETARDO (30 segundos mínimo) evita la conmutación errónea debida a movi­mientos temporales de las nubes o destellos ocasionales de luces o faros de los automóviles.

LAS LUCES SE ENCENDERÁN CUANDO SE INSTALE PRIMERO EL FOTOCONTROL. Si
se instala durante las horas de luz diurna, el control se apagará después de un período breve
de retardo. Durante el período de prueba, tendrá una respuesta retardada.

SUGERENCIAS PARA SOLUCIONAR PROBLEMAS

INSTALLATION :

La connexion à la boîte de connexion doit être étanche. L’interrupteur
photoélectrique puet être monté directement sur une débouchure
normale 1/2 po. Utiliser la rondelle et l’écrou inclus. Autrement, faire
passer dans une ouverture conique en utilisant un ruban adéquat ou
un scellant sur la tige filetée.

Pour une meilleure efficacité, il est recommandé d’installer le dispositif en position droite avec la

CONSEILS POUR UNE MEILLEURE INSTALLATION DE L’INTERRUPTEUR PHOTOÉLECTRIQUE :
Pour obtenir de meilleurs résultats, l’interrupteur photoélectrique devrait être installé avec la cellule faisant
face au NORD pour ne capter que la lumière naturelle de la zone.
Protégez le côté fenêtre de l’interrupteur photoélectrique pour éviter qu’un éclairage artificiel ne vienne frap­per le dispositif, panneaux lumineux ou autre. Placez l’interrupteur photoélectrique dans un endroit aussi
ouvert que possible.
Évitez particulièrement les coins et les corniches.
Branchez l’interrupteur photoélectrique selon les indications du diagramme ci-dessus.
Le RETARDATEUR (30 secondes minimum) est une fonction qui empêche l’allumage intempestif causé
par le mouvement des nuages, un éclair ou les phares de voitures.

LES LUMIÈRES S’ALLUMERONT LORSQUE L’INTERRUPTEUR PHOTOÉLECTRIQUE EST
INSTALLÉ. S’il installé de jour, l’interrupteur s’éteindra après un court laps de temps. Pendant
l’essai, le temps de réponse est retardé.
