AVVERTENZE SULLA SICUREZZA

• Dopo aver rimosso l’apparecchio dalla confezione, controllare l’integrità della fornitura in base al disegno e l’eventuale presenza di danni da trasporto. In caso di dubbio, non utilizzare l’apparecchio e rivolgersi al servizio di assistenza autorizzato.

• Il materiale della confezione non è un giocattolo per bambini! Tenere il sacchetto di plastica lontano dalla portata dei bambini; pericolo di soffocamento!

• Prima di collegare l’apparecchio, controllare che i dati della tensione di rete riportati sulla targhetta di identificazione corrispondano a quelli della rete elettrica disponibile. La targhetta di identificazione si trova sull’apparecchio.

• Il presente apparecchio deve essere utilizzato unicamente allo scopo per cui è stato progettato, ovvero come ferro a caldaia per uso domestico. Qualsiasi altro utilizzo è considerato non conforme e pertanto pericoloso.

• In caso di guasto o di cattivo funzionamento dell’apparecchio, spegnerlo e non manometterlo. Per l’eventuale riparazione rivolgersi solamente ad un centro di assistenza tecnica autorizzato.

- NON utilizzare l’apparecchio con mani bagnate o piedi umidi o nudi.

- NON tirare il cavo di alimentazione o l’apparecchio stesso, per staccare la spina dalla presa di

corrente.

- NON esporre l’apparecchio all’umidità o all’influsso di agenti atmosferici (pioggia, sole).

• Disinserire sempre la spina dall’alimentazione elettrica prima della pulizia o manutenzione e in caso di mancato utilizzo dell’apparecchio.

• Il ferro deve essere utilizzato e rimanere su una superficie stabile. Quando il ferro è riposto sul suo appoggiaferro, assicurarsi che la superficie di appoggio sia stabile. Il ferro non deve essere usato se è caduto, se ci sono segni visibili di danneggiamento o se vi sono perdite di acqua.

• Se il cavo di alimentazione è danneggiato, esso deve essere sostituito da un centro di assistenza tecnica autorizzato, in modo da prevenire ogni rischio.

• La sicurezza elettrica di questo apparecchio è assicurata soltanto quando lo stesso è correttamente collegato ad un efficace impianto di messa a terra come previsto dalle vigenti norme di sicurezza elettrica. E’ necessario verificare questo fondamentale requisito di sicurezza e in caso di dubbio richiedere un controllo accurato dell’impianto da parte di un tecnico competente.

In particolare: Questo apparecchio può essere utilizzato da minori di età superiore a 12 anni, da persone con capacità fisiche, sensoriali o mentali ridotte o da persone inesperte solo se preventivamente istruite sull’utilizzo in sicurezza e solo se informati dei pericoli legati al prodotto stesso. I bambini non possono giocare con l’apparecchio. La pulizia e la manutenzione dell’apparecchio non può essere fatta da bambini senza la supervisione di un adulto. Tenere l’apparecchio e il cavo di alimentazione lontano dalla portata di minori di 12 anni quando l’apparecchio è acceso o in fase di raffreddamento. NON immergere mai il ferro, il cavo e la spina in alcun liquido. NON lasciare il ferro caldo a contatto con tessuti e superfici facilmente infiammabili. NON lasciare il ferro senza sorveglianza quando è collegato all’alimentazione. NON erogare vapore quando il ferro è appoggiato sull’apposito tappetino. NON utilizzare additivi chimici, sostanze profumate o decalcificanti.

INDICAZIONI IMPORTANTI

L’apparecchio è predisposto per funzionare con acqua del rubinetto, tuttavia se l’acqua della regione dove abitate è molto calcarea, mescolate l’acqua del rubinetto (50%) ad acqua distillata e/o demineralizzata (50%); in alcune zone vicine al mare, la concentrazione di sale nell’acqua è molto elevata: in questi casi è necessario utilizzare “acqua demineralizzata per ferri da stiro” che si trova in commercio. In caso di dubbio utilizzate solo acqua demineralizzata per ferri da stiro. Non introdurre diluenti chimici, liquidi profumati o sostanze decalcificanti: l’uso di tali sostanze può danneggiare il prodotto. Non utilizzare l’acqua degli essicatoi, l’acqua dei condizionatori e l’acqua piovana. La caldaia può contenere già dell’acqua in quanto ogni prodotto viene collaudato prima di essere messo in commercio. Per la prima stiratura è consigliabile porre un panno tra il ferro ed il tessuto da stirare. Prima di iniziare la stiratura si consiglia di indirizzare un getto di vapore in aria per permettere la fuoriuscita della condensa residua.

PREPARATIVI

Suddividere la biancheria da stirare secondo i simboli internazionali riportati sull’etichetta applicata ai capi o, in mancanza, per tipo di tessuto. Iniziare a stirare i capi che richiedono la temperatura più bassa per ridurre i tempi di attesa (il ferro impiega meno tempo a riscaldarsi che a raffreddarsi) ed eliminare il rischio di bruciare i tessuti

sintetico, acrilico, nylon, poliestere: basse temperature;

lana, seta: medie temperature;

cotone, lino: alte temperature;

tessuto da non stirare.

CONSIGLI PER UNA BUONA STIRATURA

Nel caso di tessuti con finiture particolari (lustrini, ricami, raso, ecc.) vi consigliamo di usare le temperature più basse. Se il tessuto è misto (es. 40% cotone 60% sintetici) regolare il termostato sulla temperatura della fibra che richiede la temperatura più bassa. Per stabilire la temperatura di un tessuto di cui non conoscete la composizione, fate una prova su un angolo non visibile del capo, iniziando da una temperatura bassa ed aumentando gradualmente fino a raggiungere la temperatura ideale. Non stirare mai le zone con tracce di traspirazione o altri aloni: il calore della piastra fissa le macchie sul tessuto rendendole indelebili. L’appretto rende di più se si usa il ferro a secco e a temperatura moderata: il calore eccessivo lo brucia e si rischia di formare un alone giallo. Per evitare che i capi in seta, lana o sintetici prendano il lucido, stirateli al rovescio. Per evitare che i capi in velluto prendano il lucido, stirateli in una sola direzione (quella del pelo) e sea premere sul ferro. Più la lavatrice è carica, più i capi usciranno stropicciati. Lo stesso vale quando i giri della centrifuga sono elevati. Molti tessuti si stirano più facilmente se non sono completamente asciutti. E’ il caso della seta che andrebbe sempre stirata umida.

UTILIZZO

RIEMPIMENTO CALDAIA A FREDDO

1. Verificare che l’apparecchio non sia collegato alla rete di alimentazione.

2. Svitare completamente il tappo di sicurezza (1) e riempire la caldaia utilizzando l’imbuto in dotazione (13)

evitando tracimazioni. La capacità della caldaia è di circa un litro.

3. Al termine dell’operazione riavvitare completamente il tappo di sicurezza (1).

STIRATURA

• Inserire la spina (4) in una presa di alimentazione idonea;

• premere gli interruttori di accensione caldaia (2) e ferro (3). La spia temperatura piastra (10) si illuminerà;

• regolare la manopola regolazione temperatura ferro (12) secondo la simbologia internazionale riportata sull’etichetta dei capi. Attendere lo spegnimento della spia (10);

• iniziare a stirare quando la spia pronto vapore si accende (5). Durante la stiratura le spia pronto vapore (5) e spia temperatura piastra (10) si accendono e spengono indicando che la macchina mantiene pressione e temperatura ottimali;

• per stirare a vapore premere il pulsante richiesta vapore (11);

• agire sulla manopola regolazione vapore (6) (dove presente) per regolare la quantità di vapore desiderata;

• per stirare a secco, non premere il pulsante richiesta vapore (11).

ATTENZIONE!

Non svitare mai il tappo di sicurezza (1) durante le normali operazioni di stiratura.

RIEMPIMENTO CALDAIA A CALDO

Quando l’acqua all’interno della caldaia è terminata, il ferro non eroga più vapore e la spia fine acqua (7) si accende:

• spegnere gli interruttori di accensione caldaia (2) e ferro (3);

• staccare la spina (4) dalla presa di corrente, attendere qualche minuto e allentare lentamente il tappo di sicurezza (1) lasciando scaricare l’eventuale vapore residuo in caldaia;

• svitare completamente il tappo di sicurezza (1), attendere qualche minuto prima di effettuare il rabbocco;

• versare l’acqua molto lentamente all’interno della caldaia utilizzando l’imbuto in dotazione (13) evitando tracimazioni. La capacità della caldaia è di circa un litro;

• al termine dell’operazione riavvitare completamente il tappo di sicurezza (1);

• Ricominciare a stirare, seguendo le istruzioni del paragrafo “STIRATURA”.

ATTENZIONE!

La caldaia al suo interno ha una temperatura molto elevata. L’acqua fredda inserita viene

immediatamente vaporizzata e tende a fuoriuscire. Prestare quindi la massima attenzione nell’effettuare l’operazione di rabbocco.

MANOMETRO (dove presente)

Il manometro (8) permette di tenere sempre sotto controllo il livello di pressione del vapore presente nella caldaia. Durante la stiratura, la lancetta si muoverà a seconda delle modalità di richiesta del vapore e si posizionerà nella zona compresa tra il giallo e il verde.

FINE UTILIZZO

• Spegnere tutti gli interruttori di accensione caldaia (2) e ferro (3);

• staccare quindi la spina (4) dalla presa di corrente;

• attendere il raffreddamento dell’apparecchio prima di riporlo.

NOTA: Se si prevede di non utilizzare l’apparecchio per molte settimane, svuotare completamente la caldaia:

• attendere che l’apparecchio sia completamente freddo;

• svitare il tappo di sicurezza (1);

• capovolgere la caldaia sopra un lavandino;

• svuotare la caldaia facendo defluire tutta l’acqua presente in caldaia.

MANUTENZIONE

PULIZIA DELL’APPARECCHIO

Prima di pulire l’apparecchio, spegnerlo e staccare la spina (4) dalla presa di corrente! All’occorrenza, pulire l’apparecchio con un panno inumidito. Non utilizzare solventi o altri detergenti aggressivi o abrasivi. In caso contrario, si rischia di danneggiare la superficie. Prima di riutilizzare l’apparecchio, accertarsi che tutte le parti pulite a umido siano completamente asciutte!

PROBLEMI E SOLUZIONI

In questo capitolo vengono riportati i problemi più ricorrenti legati all’uso dell’apparecchio. Se non riuscite a risolvere i problemi con le informazioni seguenti, vi preghiamo di contattare il Centro Assistenza Autorizzato del vostro paese.

Dopo un po’ il fenomeno non si verifica più.

Dalla piastra del ferro nuovo fuoriescono particelle di sporcizia

È del tutto normale con un ferro nuovo.

Queste particelle sono del tutto innocue e destinate a scomparire dopo aver usato il ferro per alcune volte.

Dalla piastra fuoriescono goccioline d’acqua

La manopola regolazione vapore è stata impostata su una temperatura troppo bassa per la stiratura a vapore.

Regolate la temperatura adatta per la stiratura a vapore (vedere capitolo”STIRATURA”).

L’apparecchio non produce vapore

L’apparecchio non è acceso.

Premere gli interruttori di accensione ferro e caldaia

Non state premendo il pulsante del vapore.

Tenete premuto il pulsante richiesta vapore mentre stirate a vapore.

Non c’è abbastanza acqua nel serbatoio.

Riempitelo (vedere il capitolo Riempimento caldaia a caldo)

La piastra è sporca.

Le impurità o le sostanze chimiche presenti nell’acqua si sono depositate sulla piastra.

Pulite la piastra con un panno umido.

State stirando ad una temperatura troppo elevata.

Pulite la piastra con un panno umido. Impostate il ferro alla temperatura di stiratura richiesta (vedere il capitolo “Preparativi” e il capitolo “Stiratura”)

Durante la stiratura fuoriesce del vapore dal foro di riempimento del serbatoio

È possibile che il tappo del serbatoio del vapore non sia stato chiuso correttamente oppure sia fuoriuscita un po’ d’acqua durante il riempimento.

Spegnete l’apparecchio e lasciatelo raffreddare.Togliete il tappo del serbatoio del vapore, asciugate l’acqua intorno al foro di riempimento e reinserite il tappo. A questo punto, potete riaccendere l’apparecchio.

Durante la stiratura rimangono zone bagnate sui tessuti.

Talvolta compaiono delle zone bagnate sui tessuti dopo la stiratura a vapore poiché il vapore si condensa sull’asse da stiro. Passate più volte il ferro sulle zone bagnate senza erogare vapore per asciugarle. Se la parte inferiore dell’asse da stiro è bagnata, asciugatela con un panno asciutto.

Per evitare che il vapore si condensi sull’asse da stiro, utilizzate un asse con piano a rete.

Non posso appoggiare il ferro in posizione verticale.

Il ferro è stato progettato in modo da poter essere posizionato solo orizzontalmente.

Posizionate il ferro sul tappetino d’appoggio termoresistente.

SMALTIMENTO

L’imballaggio del prodotto è composto da materiali riciclabili. Smaltirlo in conformità alle norme di tutela ambientale.

Ai sensi della norma europea 2002/96/CE, l’apparecchio in disuso deve essere smaltito in modo conforme. I materiali riciclabili contenuti nell’apparecchio vengono recuperati, al fine di evitare il degrado ambientale. Per maggiori informazioni, rivolgersi all’ente di smaltimento locale o al rivenditore dell’apparecchio.

SAFETY WARNINGS

• After removing the appliance from its packaging, check the appliance’s integrity referring to the provided design and for any damage caused during transport. Should you have any doubts, do not use the appliance and take it to an authorised Service Centre.

• The packaging material is not suitable for children to play with! Keep the plastic bag out of the reach of children as there is risk of suffocation!

• Before connecting the appliance, check that the voltage indicated on the identification plate corresponds to that of the electrical mains supply available. The identification plate is on the appliance.

• This appliance must be used solely for the purpose for which it has been designed, that is as a boiler iron for home use. Any other use is to be considered improper and therefore dangerous.

• If there is a fault and/or the appliance operates irregularly, switch it off and do not tamper with it. For any repairs, only contact an authorised service centre.

- DO NOT touch the appliance with wet hands or with bare or damp feet.

- DO NOT pull the power cord, or the appliance itself, to remove the plug from the socket.

- DO NOT expose the appliance to humidity or weather conditions (rain, sun).

• Always disconnect the appliance from the mains supply before cleaning or maintenance and when the appliance is not in use.

• The iron must only be used and rest on a stable surface. When the iron is placed on its iron rest, ensure the support surface is stable. The iron must not be used if it falls, if there are visible signs of damage or water leaks.

• If the power cord is damaged it must be replaced by a technical service centre, so as to prevent all risks.

• The electrical safety of this appliance can be guaranteed only if it is correctly connected to an efficient earthing system circuit as indicated by current electrical safety regulations. It is necessary to check this fundamental safety precaution, and if in doubt, ask a professionally qualified technician to check the system.

Specifically: This appliance can be used by minors older than 12 years of age, by persons with limited physical, sensorial or mental faculties or by unskilled persons only if they are preventively instructed on its safe use and only if informed on the hazards connected to the product. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance on the appliance cannot be done by children without adult supervision. Keep the appliance and the power cord out of reach of children under 12 years of age when the appliance is switched on or in the cooling down phase. NEVER immerse the iron, cord or plug in any liquid. DO NOT leave the hot iron touching fabrics or very inflammable surfaces. DO NOT leave the iron unattended when it is connected to the power supply. DO NOT release steam when the iron is on its mat. DO NOT use chemical additives, scented substances or descalers.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

The appliance was designed to function with tap water, however if the local water is too calcareous, mix tap water (50%) with distilled and/or demineralised water (50%); in coastal areas, the salt concentration in water is very high: in these cases, “demineralised water for irons” sold on the market must be used. When in doubt, use only demineralised water for irons. Do not use chemical diluents, scented substances or descalers. Using such substances can damage the product. Do not use water from dryers, air conditioning water or rainwater. The boiler may still contain water since every product is tested before being sold. When ironing for the first time, it is advisable to put a cloth between the iron and the fabric to be ironed. Before ironing, we advise directing a shot of steam into the air to let off any remaining condensate.

PREPARATION

Sort the linens to be ironed according to the international symbols on the garment label, or if this is missing, according to the type of fabric. You can eliminate the risk of scorching fabrics and reduce waiting time by starting to iron items that need a lower temperature (the iron takes less time to heat up than to cool down).

synthetic, acrylic, nylon, polyester: low temperatures;

silk, wool: medium temperatures;

cotton, linen: high temperatures;

fabric not to be ironed.

ADVICE FOR GOOD IRONING

We recommend using the lowest temperatures with fabrics that have unusual finishes (sequins, embroidery, flush, etc.). If the fabric is blended (e.g. 40% cotton, 60% synthetics), set the thermostat to the temperature of the fibre requiring the lowest temperature. If you do not know the composition of the fabric, test the temperature on a hidden corner of the garment. Start with a low temperature and increase it gradually until it reaches the ideal temperature. Never iron areas with traces of perspiration or other marks: the heat of the plate fixes the stains on the fabric, making them irremovable. Starch is more effective if you use the dry iron at a moderate temperature: excess heat scorches it with the risk of forming a yellow mark. To avoid making silk, woollen or synthetic garments shiny, iron them inside out. To avoid making velvet garments shiny, iron in one direction (following the fibre) and do not press down on the iron. The more loaded the washing machine, the more creased the garments. This also happens with excessive spin drying. Many fabrics are easier to iron if they are not completely dry. For example, silk should always be ironed damp.

GB USE

FILLING THE BOILER WHEN COLD

1. Ensure that the appliance is not connected to the mains.

2. Unscrew the safety cap (1) completely and fill the boiler using the funnel provided (13), being careful not

to overfill. The boiler has a capacity of approx. 1 litre.

3. At the end of the operation, screw on the safety cap (1) tightly.

IRONING

• Insert the plug (4) in a suitable socket;

• press the on/off switches for the boiler (2) and iron (3). The plate temperature indicator light (10) will turn on;

• adjust the iron temperature regulation knob according to the international symbols found on the garment label. Wait until the indicator light (10) goes off;

• begin ironing when the steam ready indicator light (5) comes on. While ironing, the steam ready indicator light (5) and the plate temperature indicator light (10) go on and off, indicating that the machine is maintaining the pressure and temperature at optimal levels.

• to steam iron, press the steam release push-button (11);

• turn the steam regulation knob (6) (where present) to regulate the quantity of steam desired.

• to dry iron, do not press the steam release push-button (11).

WARNING!

Never unscrew the boiler safety cap (1) during normal ironing operations.

FILLING THE BOILER WHEN HOT

When there is no more water inside the boiler, the iron stops producing steam and the no water indicator light (7) turns on:

• turn off the boiler on/off switch (2) and the iron on/off switch (3);

• disconnect the plug (4) from the socket, wait a few minutes and loosen the safety cap (1) slowly to release any remaining steam in the boiler;

• unscrew the safety cap (1) completely and wait a few minutes before filling up the tank;

• fill the boiler very slowly with water using the provided funnel (13), being careful not to overfill. The boiler has a capacity of approx. 1 litre;

• at the end of the operation, screw on the safety cap (1) tightly;

• Start ironing again, following the instructions in the “IRONING” paragraph.

WARNING!

The temperature inside the boiler is very high. When cold water is added it immediately

vaporises and steam is let off. So pay the utmost attention when filling up.

PRESSURE GAUGE (where present)

The pressure gauge (8) keeps the steam pressure level in the boiler under control. While you are ironing, the pointer will move according to the demand for steam and will position itself in the area between yellow and green.

AFTER USE

• Turn off the boiler on/off switch (2) and the iron on/off switch (3);

• then disconnect the plug (4) from the socket;

• wait for the appliance to cool down before putting it away.

PLEASE NOTE: If you do not expect to use the appliance for several weeks, empty the boiler completely:

• wait until the appliance is completely cold;

• unscrew the safety cap (1);

• turn the boiler upside down over a sink;

• pour out all the water in the boiler.

MAINTENANCE

CLEANING THE APPLIANCE

Switch off the appliance and disconnect the plug (4) from the socket before you clean it! Clean the appliance with a damp cloth when necessary. Never use solvents or other harsh abrasives or cleaners. These substances may damage the surfaces. Before re-using the appliance, make sure that any parts you have cleaned are completely dry!

Make sure that the appliance is properly connected to the power cord and that the iron and boiler on/off switches have been pressed.

After switching on the appliance the first time, you will notice that it gives off some smoke.

This is completely normal and due to expansion of plastic parts.

After a while, it will stop.

Debris particles come out of the iron’s soleplate.

This is completely normal for a new iron.

These particles are completely harmless and will disappear after the iron has been used a few times.

Drops of water come out of the soleplate

The steam regulation knob has been set at too low a temperature for steam ironing.

Set the right temperature for steam ironing (see “IRONING” chapter).

The appliance does not produce steam.

The appliance is not switched on.

Press the on/off switches for the iron and boiler.

You are not pressing the steam push-button.

Press the steam release push-button when steam ironing.

There isn’t enough water in the tank.

Fill it (see “Filling the boiler when hot” chapter)

The soleplate is dirty.

The impurities and chemical substances in water have deposited on the soleplate.

Clean the soleplate with a damp cloth.

The temperature you are using for ironing is too high.

Clean the soleplate with a damp cloth. Set the iron at the required ironing temperature (see “Preparation” and “Ironing” chapters).

Turn off the appliance and let it cool. Remove the steam tank cap, dry the water around the filling opening and put the cap back on. Now you can switch the appliance on again.

Areas on fabrics stay wet during ironing.

Sometimes wet areas appear on fabrics after ironing because steam has condensed on the ironing board. Iron over the wet areas several times to dry them without emitting steam. If the lower part of the ironing board is wet, dry it with a dry cloth.

Use an ironing board with a mesh cover to prevent steam from condensing on it.

I cannot rest the iron in the vertical position.

The iron was designed only for horizontal use.

Place the iron on the heat-resistant iron support mat.

AVERTISSEMENTS SUR LA SÉCURITÉ

• Après avoir enlevé l’appareil de sa confection, contrôlez si la fourniture est intacte, conforme au dessin, et vérifiez s’il y a éventuellement des dommages dus au transport. En cas de doute, n’utilisez pas l’appareil et adressez-vous au service d’assistance autorisé.

• Le matériel de la confection n’est pas un jouet pour les enfants ! Tenez le sac en plastique hors de la portée des enfants; risque d’étouffement !

• Avant de brancher l’appareil, contrôlez que les données de la tension de réseau indiquées sur la plaquette d’identification correspondent bien à celles du réseau électrique disponible. Cette plaque d’identification se trouve sur l’appareil.

• Cet appareil doit être utilisé uniquement dans le but pour lequel il a été conçu, c’est-à-dire comme centrale vapeur à usage ménager. Tout autre usage est considéré comme non-conforme, et donc dangereux.

• En cas de panne ou mauvais fonctionnement de l’appareil, éteignez-le et n’y touchez plus. Pour la réparation éventuelle, adressez-vous uniquement à un centre d’assistance technique autorisé.

- N’utilisez pas l’appareil avec les mains mouillées, ni avec les pieds humides ou nus.

- NE PAS tirer sur le cordon d’alimentation ou sur le fer même pour débrancher la fiche de la prise

de courant.

- N’exposez pas l’appareil à l’humidité ni aux agents atmosphériques (pluie, soleil).

• Débranchez toujours la fiche de l’alimentation électrique avant le nettoyage ou l’entretien, et en cas de non utilisation de l’appareil.

• Le fer doit être utilisé et déposé sur une surface stable. Quand le fer est mis sur son repose-fer, vérifier que la surface d’appui est bien stable. Il ne faut pas utiliser le fer s’il est tombé, s’il y a des signes d’endommagement visibles ou s’il y a des fuites d’eau.

• Si le câble d’alimentation est endommagé, afin de prévenir tous risques il faudra le faire remplacer par un centre d’assistance technique autorisé.

• La sécurité électrique de cet appareil n’est assurée que quand il est correctement connecté à une installation efficace de mise à la terre, comme prévu par les normes de sécurité électrique en vigueur. Il faut que cette condition fondamentale de sécurité soit absolument respectée, en cas de doute, faire soigneusement contrôler l’installation par du personnel qualifié.

En particulier : Cet appareil ne peut être utilisé par des mineurs de plus de 12 ans, par des personnes aux capacités physiques, sensorielles et mentales réduites ou par des personnes inexpertes, que s’ils ont été préalablement instruits sur comment utiliser l’appareil en toute sécurité, et s’ils ont été informés sur les dangers liés à ce produit. Les enfants ne doivent pas jouer avec l’appareil. Le nettoyage et l’entretien de l’appareil ne doivent pas être faits par des enfants sans la supervision d’un adulte. Tenir l’appareil et le cordon d’alimentation hors de la portée des enfants de moins de 12 ans lorsque l’appareil est allumé ou en phase de refroidissement. NE JAMAIS plonger le fer, le cordon ou la fiche dans un liquide, quel qu’il soit. NE PAS laisser le fer chaud au contact de tissus ou de surfaces facilement inflammables. NE PAS laisser le fer sans surveillance lorsqu’il est branché à la prise de courant. N’utilisez jamais le jet de vapeur lorsque le fer est posé sur son tapis. N’utilisez aucun additif chimique, ni aucune substance parfumée ou détartrante.

INDICATIONS IMPORTANTES

L’appareil est prévu pour fonctionner avec de l’eau du robinet ; toutefois, si l’eau de la région où vous habitez est très calcaire, mélangez l’eau du robinet (50%) avec de l’eau distillée et/ou déminéralisée (50%) ; dans certaines zones proches de la mer, la concentration de sel dans l’eau est très élevée : dans de tels cas il faut utiliser de l’« eau déminéralisée pour les fers à repasser » que vous trouvez dans le commerce. En cas de doute, utilisez uniquement de l’eau déminéralisée pour fers à repasser. N‘introduisez pas de diluants chimiques ni de produits parfumés ou détartrants: l’emploi de ces substances peut endommager le produit. Ne jamais utiliser l’eau des séchoirs, ni l’eau des conditionneurs, ni l’eau de pluie. Il se pourrait qu’il y ait de l’eau dans la chaudière, du fait que chaque appareil est testé avant d’être mis sur le marché. Il est conseillé de placer un linge entre le fer et le tissu à repasser lorsque vous utilisez l’appareil pour la première fois. Avant de repasser, il est également recommandé de faire sortir un jet de vapeur en l’air pour permettre à la condensation résiduelle de sortir.
