With the RS-AERO1I, you can edit waypoints and
ight plans used with the IC-A25N or IC-A25NE.
System requirements
The following system is required to use the
application. (As of April 2023)
Data device
• iOS version 13 or later
L Download the application from the App Store.
Transceiver
• IC-A25N or IC-A25NE
Disclaimer
• The application may not work, depending on the OS
version, installed application, and so on.
• These Instructions are based on using iPad.
Depending on the OS version or setting, the
indications or items may differ.
• The screen shots on these Instructions are just
examples, so the contents may differ from the actual
ones.
Operating notes
• Bluetooth LE is used to connect with the transceiver,
so there may be a time delay between the
transceiver’s operation and the display on the data
device.
• You may need to connect to the Internet through a
Wireless LAN, a mobile network for some functions.
• Do not read or write data to/from the transceiver
while receiving or transmitting audio. The
transceiver cannot receive or transmit audio while
reading or writing data to/from a data device.

Connecting the IC-A25N/IC-A25NE
1. Preparation
z Select the “LE Device” item on the IC-A25N or
IC-A25NE.
([MENU] > Bluetooth > Pairing/Connect >
Search Device > LE Device)
2. Connecting
1. Tap “Bluetooth connection.”
• The “Bluetooth devices” screen is displayed.
2. Tap “Scan.”
• Scan starts and found devices are displayed.
3. Tap the IC-A25N or IC-A25NE’s name to pair.
• Returns to the “Select the Startup action” screen, if
the transceiver is correctly connected.

D Importing fpl/gpx format data
You can import fpl or gpx format data from your PC
using the File Sharing function of iTunes.

D Editing/Adding a waypoint
1. Confirm “Waypoint” is selected at the top of the
screen.
2. Tap the waypoint to edit.
• A popup is displayed.
TIP: Long tap on the map to add a new waypoint.
• A popup is displayed.
L Drag and drop the marker to the desired position.
4. Edit the waypoint.
L Tap to edit the items shown below.
L Items other than shown below are not editable.

You can save the waypoint’s icon data.
1. Tap the Menu icon.

D Editing/Adding a ight plan
1. Tap “FlightPlan” at the top of the screen.
• The “Select a ight plan” screen is displayed.
2. Tap a flight plan.
• The “Edit ight plan” screen is displayed.
L To add a ight plan, tap “(+) NEW.”
3. Edit the flight plan’s name if necessary, and then
tap “Set.”
4. Edit the flight plan by adding or deleting
waypoints.
L Tap “Cancel” at the right of the screen to cancel
editing.*
*The conrmation dialog is displayed.
TIP:
To add a waypoint to the ight plan:
1. Tap a waypoint.
• A popup is displayed.
2. Tap the popup.
To delete a ight plan’s waypoint:
1. Tap a waypoint.
• A popup is displayed.
2. Tap the popup.
• The “Select the action” screen is displayed.
3. Tap “Delete.”
D Deleting a ight plan
1. Tap “FlightPlan” at the top of the screen.
• The “Select a ight plan” screen is displayed.
2. Swipe the flight plan to delete.
3. Tap “Delete” to delete the flight plan.*
*A conrmation dialog is displayed.
• Returns to the “Select a ight plan” screen.
4. Tap “Cancel” to return to the Main screen.
D Setting a Direct-To
You can set a direct destination on the map, and
immediately write it to the IC-A25N or IC-A25NE.
L Conrm the IC-A25N or IC-A25NE is connected to the
iOS device.
1. Tap “Direct-To” at the top of the screen.
2. Long tap on the map.
• A popup is displayed.
L Drag and drop the marker to the desired position.
TIP:
You can also set a waypoint as a Direct-To by
tapping it.
• A popup is displayed.
To insert a waypoint before a selected waypoint:
Example: Inserting the waypoint X before
the waypoint Y.
1. Tap waypoint Y.
• A popup is displayed.
2. Tap the popup.
• The “Select the action” screen is displayed.
3. Tap “Insert above.”
4. Tap waypoint X.
• A popup is displayed.
5. Tap the popup to insert waypoint X.
5. After editing, tap “OK” on the left of the screen.
• The “Flight plan entry” screen is displayed.
6. Tap “Course To,” and then select the course.
L The course is automatically calculated by the
transceiver, if it is not selected.
3. Tap the popup.
• The “Setting Direct-To” screen is displayed.
4. Tap “Magnetic Variation,” and then select the
magnetic variation.
5. Tap “Course To,” and then select the course.
6. Tap “Set” to set the Direct-To.*
*The conrmation dialog is displayed.
• The transceiver starts to navigate to the destination.
7. Tap “Set” to save the flight plan.*
