■ Getting started

D This software is designed to control remotely the

IC-92AD/E92D vhf

D HELP WINDOW: RS-92 has a help window to

describe functions and operation.

■ Connection

Connect the transceiver to your PC using the supplied data communication cable, OPC-1799, as illustrated below.

■ System requirement

To use this program, the following hardware and software are required:

• Microsoft

Windows® 98/98SE/Me/2000/XP or Microsoft®

Windows Vista™ is installed

This instruction manual is described using Windows XP.

• With RS-232C serial port (D-sub 9-pin)

OPC-1799 data communication cable (supplied with RS-92)

■ Software installation

When installing into a Windows XP, Windows 2000 or Windows Vista environment, log on as the administrator.

q Make sure Windows is started and no other applications

are running.

w Insert the application CD into a CD drive. e Double-click the “setup.exe” contained in the CD. r (This step is for the non-European versions only)

Select the display language type from ‘English’ or ‘Japanese.’

• This instruction manual is described using ‘English’ type.

t The “Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for RS-92” will

appear as below. Click [Next>].

u The “Choose Destination Location” will appear as below.

Then click [Next>] to install the software to the destination folder. (e.g. C:\Program Files\Icom\RS-92)

• Click [Browse...] to select another destination folder before clicking [Next >], if desired.

n Screen description

i Function buttons for DV mode operations

Click to activate the appropriate functions for DV mode.

o <F.INP> BUTTON

Click to toggle the Keypad screen indication ON and OFF. The desired operating frequency or memory channel

number can be entered with the Keypad.

!0 <CALL> BUTTON

Click to select call channel mode.

!1 <MR> BUTTON

Click to select memory channel mode.

!2 <VFO> BUTTON

Click to select VFO mode.

!3 <DIAL>

Click to tune the operating frequency, or select the mem

ory channel.

Left click: decrease, Right click: increase

!4 <VOL>

Click to adjust audio output level. Left click: decrease, Right click: increase

y The “User Information” will appear as below, then type

your name, your company name and the product ID number with the following manner. Then click [Next >].

• ID number: For the non-European versions

For the European version : 307102-(6 digit serial number)

• e.g. the serial number on the CD is XXXXXX*, enter “307101

: 307101-(6 digit serial number)

(or 307102)- XXXXXX” as the ID number.

XXXXXX is shown as an entering example only and it is invalid.

i After the installation is completed, the “InstallShield Wiz-

ard Complete” will appear as below. Then click [Finish].

o Eject the CD. !0 Program group ‘RS-92’ appears in the ‘All Programs’ of

the start menu, and ‘RS-92’ short cut icon appears on the desktop screen.

• To uninstall the cloning software, select the “Control Panel” in the start menu, and click the “Add or Remove Programs.”

Then, select the program ‘RS-92’ and click [Remove].

This screen differs slightly depending on the version.

q MENU BAR

Click one of [File], [View], [Option] or [Help] then select

the desired item for the software basic operation or condition setting, etc.

w SHORT CUT BUTTONS

Click one of ﬁve short cut buttons to open the previously

saved data, save the current settings, re-read the data from the transceiver, display memory channel list or set mode screen.

e <MENU> BUTTON

Click then select to display one of Common, A band, B

band and Digital setting screen.

r <MAIN> BUTTON

Click to select the main band.

t <PWR> BUTTON

Click to turn the transceiver’s power ON and OFF.

y <DUAL> BUTTON

Click to toggle the dualwatch operation ON and OFF.

u Function buttons for general operation

Click to activate the appropriate functions.

　本書は、リモートコントロールソフトウェア (RS-92) の取扱説明書です。

RS-92は、ID-92 VHF/UHF DIGITAL TRANSCEIVER

をパソコンから操作するためのソフトウェアです。

■ パソコンと無線機の接続

データ通信ケーブル(OPC-1799)を、下図のように接続します。

■ 動作環境

RS-92をご使用になるには、次の動作環境が必要です。

・対応OS ：

 ※

・ポート：RS-232C(D-sub9ピン) ・データ通信ケーブル ：OPC-1799(RS-92に同梱)

■ インストールと起動のしかた

qMicrosoft®Windows®を起動します。

 ※WindowsXP、Windows2000、WindowsVistaは、

管理者権限でログインしてください。

 ※ほかのアプリケーションを起動しているときは、すべて終

了してください。

wリモートコントロールソフトウェア(RS-92)のアプリ

ケーションCDをCDドライブにセットします。

eCDに格納されているセットアッププログラム(setup.

exe)をダブルクリックします。

r<設定言語の選択>画面が表示されますので、表示言語

を｢日本語｣または｢英語｣から選択します。

 ※本書では、｢日本語｣表示を例に説明します。

tインストーラーが起動しますので、画面の指示にした

がって、ソフトウェアをインストールします。

 [次へ(N)>]をクリックします。

yユーザー名、会社名、シリアル番号を入力します。  [シリアル番号]は、【307101-(CDのシリアル番号)】

で構成されており、CDのシリアル番号が｢XXXXXX*｣のときの入力例は、｢307101-XXXXXX｣となります。

 入力完了後、[次へ(N)>]をクリックします。

 *XXXXXXは例として示してあり、無効ですのでご注意くだ

さい。

内に表示されている場所にインストールするときは、

<スタート>メニュー→[すべてのプログラム(P)]の順に操作すると、[RS-92]プログラムグループが表示されます。また、デスクトップにリモートコントロールソフトウェア(RS-92)のショートカットが作成されます。

 ※アンインストールする場合は、

コントロールパネル内にある[プログラムの追加と削除] から行ってください。

■ 基本画面

q メニューバー

[ファイル]、[表示]、[オプション]、[ヘルプ]メニューから、このソフトウェアの基本的な操作や設定などをします。

w ツールバー

｢開く｣、｢上書き保存｣、｢本体からメモリー読み直し｣、｢メモリーチャンネル編集｣、｢セットモード編集｣のボタンです。

e 〈MENU〉ボタン

クリックすると、共通、Aバンド、Bバンド、またはデジタル設定画面を選択して表示します。

r 〈MAIN〉ボタン

MAINバンドを切り替えるボタンです。

t 〈PWR〉ボタン

接続しているID-92の電源を｢

y 〈DUAL〉ボタン

デュアルワッチ機能を｢

u 機能ボタン

各種機能ボタンです。

ON/OFF｣します。

i DVモード用機能ボタン

DVモードで使用する各種機能ボタンです。

o 〈F.INP〉ボタン

クリックすると、テンキー画面表示を｢ON/OFF｣します。テンキー画面から周波数やメモリーチャンネル番号を入力できます。

!0 〈CALL〉ボタン

コールチャンネルを選択します。

!1 〈MR〉ボタン

メモリーモードを選択します。

!2 〈VFO〉ボタン

VFOモードを選択します。

!3 〈DIAL〉ボタン

運用周波数やメモリーチャンネルを選択します。右クリックでダイヤルアップ、左クリックでダイヤルダウン動作をします。

!4 〈VOL〉ボタン

音量を調整します。右クリックで音量が大きくなり、左クリックで音量が小さくなります。

設定できる項目や、その項目についての詳細は、リモートコントロールソフトウェア(RS-92)のヘルプをご覧ください。なお、ヘルプをご覧いただくには、Internet Explorer5.5以降のバージョンが必要です。
