n Getting started

D This remote control so ft ware is designed to

remotely controls the IC-91A/AD or IC-E91/D

vhf/uhf fm transceiver.

HELP WINDOW: RS-91 has a help window to

describe functions and operation.

n Connections

Connect the transceiver to your PC using the supplied data communication cable, OPC-1529R, as illustrated below.

n Software installation

q Quit all applications when Windows is running.

• Log in as the ad mi ni strator, wh en Window s 2000/X P or Windows Vista installed PC is used.

w Insert the CD into the appropriate CD drive. e Double-click the “Setup.exe” contained in the CD.

• Click [Continue] in “User Account Control” dialog when installing the driver into Windows Vista PC.

the desir ed item for t he software basi c operation or condition setting, etc.

w SHORT CUT BUTTONS

Click one of ﬁve short cut buttons to open the previously

saved data, save the current settings, re-read the data from the transceiver, display memory channel list or set mode screen.

e <MENU> BUTTON

Click then select to display one of Common, A band, B

band and Digital setting screen.

Click to toggle the Keypad screen indication ON and OFF.

Click to select call channel mode.

Click to select memory channel mode.

Click to select VFO mode.

!3 <DIAL>

Click to t une th e operating frequency, or select the

memory channel.

!4 <VOL>

Click to adjust audio output level. Left click: decrease, Right click: increase

NOTE: The above instructions are for reference only. Please refer to the HELP ﬁle of the REMOTE CONTROL SOFTWARE for the operation details. To refering the HELP ﬁle, Internet Explorer 5.0 or later is required.

y The “User Information” will appear as below, then type

your na me, your company name and the product ID number with the following manner. Then click [Next >].

• ID number: 290201-(6 digit serial number)

• e.g. the serial numb er o n th e CD is 000001, en ter “290201-000001” as the ID number.

o Eject the CD. !0 Program group ‘RS-91’ appears in the ‘Programs’ folder of

the start menu, and ‘RS-91’ short cut icon appears on the desktop screen.

D COM port setting

COM port setting may be required when start up the RS-91 ﬁrst time, or the data communication cable connecting port is changed. Cli c k “C O M Po r t…” i n [Op t ion] m enu t h en se t the appropriate COM port number that the data communication is connected.

RS-91をご使用になるには、次の動作環境が必要です。

・対応OS ：日本語Microsoft

98/98SE/Me/2000/XP、 WindowsVista

・ポート：RS-232C(D-sub9ピン) ・データ通信ケーブル ：OPC-1529(RS-91に同梱)

　本書は、リモートコントロールソフトウェア(RS-91) の取扱説明書です。　RS-91は、ID-91(VHF/UHFデジタルトランシーバー )をパソコンから操作するためのプログラムです。

■ パソコンへの接続

データ通信ケーブル(OPC-1529)を使用して、ID-91の [DATA]ジャックとパソコンのRS-232Cコネクターに接続します。

■ インストールのしかた

qMicrosoft®Windows®を起動します。

※Windows 2000/XP、Windows Vistaの場合は、

管理者権限でログオンしてください。

※ほかのアプリケーションを起動しているときは、すべ

て終了してください。

wリモートコントロールソフトウェア(RS-91)のCDを

CDドライブにセットします。

eCDに格納されている｢Setup.exe｣ファイルをダブル

クリックしてください。

 ※Windows Vistaの場合、[ユーザーアカウント制御]

画面を表示しますので、〈続行〉をクリックしてください。

r[設定言語の選択]画面を表示しますので、ソフトの表示

言語を｢日本語｣、または｢英語｣から選択して、〈OK〉をクリックします。

を表示しますので、〈次へ(

N)>〉をクリックします。

u[インストール先の選択]画面を表示しますので、画面内

に表示されている場所にインストールするときは、〈次

｢開く｣、｢上書き保存｣、｢本体からメモリー読み直し｣、｢メモリーチャンネル編集｣、｢セットモード編集｣のボタンです。

e 〈MENU〉ボタン

クリックすると、共通、Aバンド、Bバンド、またはデジタル設定画面を選択して表示します。

r 〈MAIN〉ボタン

MAINバンドを切り替えるボタンです。

t 〈PWR〉ボタン

接続しているID-91の電源を｢

ON/OFF｣します。

y 〈DUAL〉ボタン

デュアルワッチ機能を｢

ON/OFF｣します。

u 機能ボタン

各種機能ボタンです。

i DVモード用機能ボタン

DVモードで使用する各種機能ボタンです。

o 〈F.INP〉ボタン

クリックすると、テンキー画面表示を｢ON/OFF｣します。

!0 〈CALL〉ボタン

コールチャンネルを選択します。

!1 〈MR〉ボタン

メモリーモードを選択します。

!2 〈VFO〉ボタン

VFOモードを選択します。

!3 〈DIAL〉ボタン

クリックすると、運用周波数やメモリーチャンネルを選択します。

!4 〈VOL〉ボタン

音量を調整します。右クリックで音量が大きくなり、左クリックで音量が小さくなります。

設定できる項目や、その項目についての詳細は、リモートコントロールソフトウェア(RS-91)のヘルプをご覧ください。なお、ヘルプをご覧いただくには、Internet Explorer5.5以降のバージョンが必要です。

oCDを取り出します。 !0 〈スタート〉メニューのプログラムフォルダー内に

｢RS-91｣プログラムグループが表示され、デスクトップ上にショートカットアイコンが生成されます。

※ アンインストールする場合は、Microsoft

のコントロールパネル内の｢アプリケーションの追加と削除｣から行ってください。

D COMポートの設定について

RS-91を初めて起動するとき、またはデータ通信ケーブルの接続ポートを変更したときは、COMポートの設定が必要です。 [オプション]メニューから、COMポート(C)を選択して、データ通信ケーブルを接続しているポート番号を設定してください。
