SETTING THE DISPLAY BRIGHTNESS
The display can be lit in three different ways :
- Always OFF
- On for 5 seconds when a button is pressed.
- Always ON.
NOTE

SETTING OF SQUELCH AND MINIMUM VOLUME LEVEL
This function allows to :
- Set the minimum volume level when the Volume knob is turned at its lowest
position. For example, in a noisy environment, you might need to increase the
minimum volume level.
- Set the background noise cut off level (Squelch).
Note : To avoid interferences, step away from electrical equipment like engines, computers
or other sources of parasites while doing these settings.

ACTIVATING BEEPS
This setting allows :
- To enable or disable the BEEPS when buttons on the transceiver are pressed.
- To link the sound level of the BEEPS to the general volume setting of the
transceiver.
