CS-R8600
Update information— Revision 1.20
Thank you for using the Icom Download Service.
The Revision 1.20 Updater will add the following setting item to the CS-R8600 cloning software.
After updating, Scan Delay Type and Scan Delay are deleted.
This software can read the data saved before the update, or also read to/write from the version 1.10 or earlier
IC-R8600 rmware.
IMPORTANT!
This update is only for the CS-R8600 users, and will update the CS-R8600 on your PC.
To reect the setting of the additional item, the IC-R8600 rmware needs to be updated to 1.20 or later.
■ Scan Set
D SCAN Resume (Default: ON)
You can set the Scan Resume options for when a
signal is received.
Options:
• OFF: When a signal is received, the scan is
canceled.
• ON: When a signal is received, the scan pauses
for the preset pause time, then resumes.
( Set the pause time in SCAN Pause Timer
and SCAN Resume Timer.)
D SCAN Pause Timer (Default: 10sec)
You can set the delay time for when the scan
resumes.
Options:
• 1sec ~ 30sec:
The scan pauses for the set pause time,
then resumes. (Even while still receiving a
signal.)
• Hold: When a signal is received, the scan pauses
for the preset pause time, then resumes.
( Set the pause time in SCAN Pause Timer
and SCAN Resume Timer.)
D SCAN Resume Timer (Default: 2sec)
You can set the delay time for when the scan
resumes after the signal disappears.
Options:
• 0sec ~ 5sec:
The scan resumes after the preset delay
time.
• Hold: The scan remains paused according to
SCAN Pause Timer, even if the signal
disappears.
L Information
• Rotate the Main Dial of the IC-R8600 to
Resume the scan.
• When SCAN Pause Timer is set to between 1
and 30 seconds, the scan resumes according
to the SCAN Pause Timer setting.
■ Keyboard
D Full Keyboard Layout (Default: English)
You can choose the keyboard type to the language.
Options:
Set to English, German or French.

■ Updating the CS-R8600
These instructions are based on using Microsoft® Windows® 10.
NOTE:
• When updating the CS-R8600, log in as the administrator.
• Conrm Windows has completed its start-up, and no other applications are running.
1. Open the unzipped folder.
2. Double-click “Update.exe.”
L If “User Account Control” is displayed, click <Yes>
to continue.
3. “Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for
CS-R8600” is displayed.
Click <Next >>.
Click Next >
4. After the update is completed, “Update
Complete” is displayed.
Click <Finish>.
Click Finish
5. The updated program group ‘CS-R8600’ is
created on the menu, and the updated
‘CS-R8600’ shortcut icon is created on the
desktop.
