The IEN 500 allows Point of Service (POS) processors remote connectivity and transport options currently available in local configurations. This integrated access device (IAD) allows for simultaneous traffic from Ethernet and a legacy protocol such as asynchronous, bisynchronous and SDLC, to be transported over a Frame Relay or IP WAN. The IEN 500 is the logical choice for customers who want to utilize the benefits of running IP terminal transactions over a managed WAN interface.
