If there is a Wi-Fi network available, download the
upgrade file over the network, and the upgrade will
proceed automatically.
Note:
1. Software upgrade will erase important data on user's phone. Ensure that the user has backed up the
data before the upgrade.
2. Before the upgrade, ensure that the remaining battery power is more than 15%. Connect the phone
to its charger for power supply and do not remove its battery during the upgrade.
3. Software can only be upgraded from an earlier version to a later version of the same category. Do
not perform upgrade across versions in different countries or across different customized versions.
See documents on naming software for methods to differentiate between different software
versions.
4. If the upgrade fails, you can use the forcible upgrade method to upgrade the phone again.
5. Normal upgrade is preferred for phones that can be powered on. Forcible upgrade may lead to
information loss and is not recommended.
Back up important user data: The upgrade will delete user data. Back up any important data
before the upgrade.
(1) For contact list, text messages, and third-party applications installed, do as follows: Insert a
microSD card, and use backup software to back up all the information to the card.
(2) For information stored on the memory of the phone, such as photos, videos, audio, and
personal files, use the file manager on the phone to back them up to the microSD card.
