Activating your new phone
step one – basic information
Please have ready: your name, address, and an eight-digit number that you will use to access your

account (your personal identification number “PIN”).
step two – find your serial number
To locate the serial number, remove the phone
from the box and remove the battery cover from

the phone. The serial number is located near the bar code. It will be either 11 or 18 digits. Write that number here:

If you need to place a call while outside of MetroPCS’s local, extended home or TravelTalk extended coverage areas, per-minute charges may apply and you may need to use a credit card to complete your call in those areas. Once your phone is powered up, press *228 to connect with an activation representative who will assist you in activating your phone. (As soon as your service is activated, be sure to fully charge the phone’s battery before using it again.)

MetroGUARD
MetroGUARD is handset insurance protection provided to subscribers of MetroPCS. In the event of loss, theft, damage (including water damage) or malfunction after the manufacturer’s warranty expires; you’ll have a replacement in your hands fast – usually within 72 hours of claim approval.
How to sign up – MetroGUARD is only available on the day you purchase your phone and activate MetroPCS service, upgrade or add a new phone to your MetroPCS account.

Payment Options:
There are several ways to pay for your MetroPCS service.
(A convenience fee may apply. Not available in all locations.)
Auto Pay. Your credit or debit card will automatically be charged each month.
Express Pay. Pay by credit or debit card online at metropcs.com.
Drop Box. Drop a check or money order in a store drop box.*
By Mail. Include your account number and phone number on your check or money order and mail to: MetroPCS, P.O. Box 5119, Carol Stream, IL 60197-5119.
By phone via automated system. Pay by credit or debit card from your MetroPCS phone by dialing *99 or dial #222 to pay with your MetroPCS Visa® Prepaid card.
Store payment machine. Accepts cash, debit or credit card (with PIN).*
Over the counter. Pay at an Authorized Payment Location with cash, check, credit or debit card.*
Billing Overview:
E-statement. View your statement summary online.
Call detail. View your call detail online for a listing of all local calls made during the billing cycle.
MyMetro®
Manage your MetroPCS account right on your phone. By dialing any of the customer service numbers you can change your rate plan, change your features and pay your bill. Just follow the instructions on your handset.
Metro Promise
MetroPCS customers who are dissatisfied with their new phone or service may return their new phone for a full refund, no questions asked.*
Rules:
The phone must be returned within 7 days of purchase with less than one hour of talk time for a full refund.
The phone must be returned in “like new condition” and contain all original packaging and accessories.
The phone must be returned to the original place of purchase with accompanying handset and service payment receipts.
Online customers must return the phone to the Online Returns Center per the instructions included in the shipment packaging.
Return Policy is for new account activations only. Phone upgrades are non-refundable under this policy, but may be covered by a limited manufacturer’s warranty, if applicable.
* This return policy only applies to new equipment purchased from MetroPCS, its
authorized dealers and metropcs.com. This return policy only applies to monthly service fees paid at MetroPCS and its authorized dealer locations, and excludes monthly service fees paid when handset is purchased on metropcs.com.
