Setting the SCSI ID with DAT 24 and DLT
VS80 tape drives

Most tape drives are able to take advantage of the remote SCSI ID
feature of the 1U Rackmount Tape Enclosure. Exceptions are the
DAT 24 and DLT VS80 tape drives. This is due to the
incompatability of the internal connection between the rear panel
switch and the tape drive.

For installations of the DAT 24 and DLT VS80 tape drives in the
1U tape enclosure, refer to the documentation that came with your
tape drive for details on setting the SCSI ID using jumpers.
