Synopsis
The evainfo [options][raw_device_file] comm a nd identifies the logical unit numbers (LUNs)
presented to a host from an HP EVA, and displays information about the connected port and c ontroller.
The command output also indicates if the device path is active and optimized for I/O for the LUN. The
active and optimized path information is s upported for HP StorageWorks 3000/5000 Enterprise Virtual
Array (EVA3000/5000) with Active/Active firmware, and HP StorageWorks 4x00/6x00/8x00 and
4400 Enterprise Virtual Array storage systems. The command is run as root or as a user with root
privileges.
IMPORTANT:
The command output is displayed in horizontal format, one LUN per line, and therefore is best viewed in
a window with a width of at least 80 columns. HP recommends that you use a window with a width of
at least 132 columns. However, the optional long format output contains more details and is optimally
viewed in an even wider window.
