HPE Location Discovery Services
HPE Location Discovery Services is the first solution that merges the physical rack with IT equipment to provide automated
location awareness of installed servers for advanced asset management and workload placement.
HPE Advanced and Enterprise Series Racks equipped with the Location Discovery option provide detailed location information to
ProLiant servers to track new installations and equipment moves. Upon installation the server's iLO queries and records the rack
identifier as well as the exact U location of the serve

This saves time in configuring hardware and software to manage the data center while eliminating constant manual updates and
the associated human errors that can slow resolution to issues and even cause down time and loss of business.
HPE Advanced Series Network Racks
HPE Network Racks are designed for dense network equipment. These racks have the front vertical rails moved back 75mm to
facilitate front to rear cabling and have additional bristle covered cable access slots in the front and on top of the racks to prevent
mixing of hot and cold air and to allow for large cable bundles. These racks are available in standard 600mm and 800mm widths.

For the BladeSystem enclosures, the service covers the enclosure, power supplies, fans and enclosure
devices including pass-thru, Ethernet interconnect and virtual connect modules. For ProLiant servers,
storage, or BladeSystem enclosures installed within a rack, service also covers all HPE qualified racks
and rack options including UPS products not exceeding 12kVA, KVM switches, consoles and power
distribution units installed within the same rack. The UPS battery is covered separately under its own
warranty terms and conditions, limited to the term of the applicable warranty period.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise provides cost-effective service options with resources
and specialized expertise to complement customers’ in-house capabilities.
• Installation and Startup services
o Take advantage of complete installation and implementation support-including
global rollout capabilities-to get rack solutions up-and-running rapidly, with minimal
business disruption.
• Rack Option Hardware Support
o Cover rack options with a single convenient service package. HPE Care Pack Services
for rack-mounted ProLiant DL servers and storage products provide support for all
HPEthe time of or after purchase. In addition, 22-inch and smaller external monitors,
tower units, and UPS options up to 3KVA are covered at the same service level and
for the same period as the server at no additional cost. Also covered are any
additional HPE-qualified rack options installed within the same rack.
HPE Care Pack Services help increase uptime and productivity with rapid response on a 24x7 or 13x5
basis. Both options feature same-day, 4-hour onsite assistance when service issues cannot be resolved
remotely. And both help enhance the return on server investment with proven HPE Services expertise
and consistent support levels across geographically dispersed sites.
