Application
HabeDos dosing computers are electronically controlled appliances for reducing the occurrence of corrosion in drinking water pipework. They can also be used for renovating corroded pipework.
HabeDos dosing acts as a corrosion protection by building a protective layer on the inside of the pipework and thereby effectively prevents corrosion. In addition, by preventing scale from separating out, scale deposits in the downstream hot water unit are eliminated. Thus the whole system is protected against corrosion and scaling. In this way equipment breakdowns and narrowing of pipework are minimised and the life expectancy of the installation is prolonged.
HabeDos appliances have been tested by DVGW to the requirements of DIN 1988.

Function |
When water is drawn off an impulse sensor detects the actual |
L2 |
flow rate and registers this in the electronic system. The elec- |
tronic system then regulates an actuator motor for the dosing |
pump and thereby ensures precise proportional dosing of the |
active solution across the whole operating range. The active |
H |
solution is sucked out of the storage container and is injected into |
the pipework. At the same time the dosing frequency is indicated |
by flashing the LED's. |
An electronic level sensor switches the pump off if the solu- |
tion in the storage container is too low and thereby protects the |
pump against dry running. The necessity for container replace- |
ment is signalled both visually and acoustically. If malfunction |
occurs, then the automatic control system prevents the risk of |
overdosing by shutting off the system. |
