Blow again with compressed air 2 times until ret urn air stream i s free of noticeable dust and water.
Injection preparation
Tightly att ach new Hilti mix ing nozz le HIT-RE-M to foil pack manifold (snug fit ). Do not modify the mi xing nozz le. Observe the inst ruct ion for use of the dispens er
and mortar.
Check foil pack holder for proper function. Do not use damaged foil packs / holders. Ins ert foi l
pack into foil pac k holder and put holder into HIT-dispens er.
The foil pack opens automat ically as dis pensing i s init i ated. Discard i nitial adhesive.
Depending on t he s ize of the foil pack an init ial amount of
adhesi ve has to be dis carded. Discard
quanti ties are: 2 strokes for 330 ml foil pack, 3 strokes for 500 ml foil pack,
65 ml for 1400 m l foil pac k .

Inject adhesive from the back of t he borehole without forming air voids
Inject t he adhes i ve st art i ng at the bac k of t he hol e, slowly wi t hdrawi ng t he mixer with each trigger pull . Fill holes approximat el y 2/ 3 full. It i s required t hat the annular gap between the anchor and the concret e is c omplet ely fil led with adhesive along the embedment length.
After i nject ion is c omplet ed, depres suriz e the dispens er by pres sing t he release trigger. This will prevent further adhesive discharge from the mixer.

Simplified design method
Simplified version of the design method ac cording ETAG 001, TR 029. Design resistance according data given in ETA-04/0027, issue 2009-05-20.
Influence of c oncret e st rength Influence of edge dis tanc e Influence of spacing Valid for a group of two anc hors. (The method may also be applied for anchor groups with more than two
anchors or more than one edge distance. The influencing factors must then be considered for each edge distance and s pacing. The calculated design loads are then on t he save side: They will be lower than the exact values according ETAG 001, TR 029. To avoid this, it is recommended to use the anchor design software PROFIS anchor)
The design method is based on t he followi ng simpl ificati on:
No different l oads are acting on individual anc hors (no ecc entri cit y)
The values are valid for one anchor.
For more c omplex fast ening applic ations pleas e use the anchor des ign s oftware P ROFIS Anc hor.

Simplified design method
Simplified version of the design method ac cording ETAG 001, TR 029. Design resistance according data given in ETA-04/0027, issue 2013-06-26.
Influence of concret e st rength Influence of edge dis tanc e Influence of spacing Valid for a group of two anc hors. (The method may also be applied for anchor groups with more than two
anchors or more than one edge distance. The influencing factors must then be conside red for each edge distance and s pacing. The calculated design loads are then on t he save side: They will be lower than t he exact values according ETAG 001, TR 029. To avoid this, it is recommended to use the anchor design software PROFIS anchor)
The design met hod is based on t he foll owing si m pli fication:
No different l oads are acting on individual anc hors (no ecc entri cit y)
The values are valid for one anchor.

Simplified design method
Simplified version of the design method ac cording ETAG 001, TR 029. Design resistance according data given in ETA-04/0027, issue 2013-06-26.
Influence of c oncret e st rength Influence of edge distanc e Influence of spacing Valid for a group of two anc hors. (The method may also be applied for anchor groups with more than two
anchors or more than one edge distance. The influencing factors must then be considered for each edge distance and spacing. The calculated des ign loads are then on the save side: They will be lower than the exact values according ETAG 001, TR 029. To avoid this, it is recommended to use the anchor design software PROFIS anchor)
The design method is based on the foll owi ng simpl i fication:
No different l oads are acting on individual anc hors (no ecc entri cit y)
The values are valid for one anchor.
For more c omplex fast ening applic ations pleas e use the anchor des ign s oftware P ROFIS Anc hor.

1. Drill hole
Note: Before drilling, remove c arbonized c oncrete; clean cont act areas (see A nnex B1) In cas e of aborted drill hole the drill hole shall be filled with m
ortar.
Drill hole to the required embedment depth with an appropriately sized Hilti TE
-CD or TE-YD hollow drill bit with Hilti vacuum attachment. This drilling system remove s the du st and cl eans the bore hole during drilling when used in accordance
with the us er’s manual.
After drilling is complete, proceed to the “injection preparation” step
in t he instruc tions for use.
Drill the hole to the required em bedment depth us ing a hammer -drill with carbid drill bit s et in rotation hammer mode, a c ompres sed air drill or a diamond core machine.
4. Bore hole cleaning
(Not needed with Hi lti TE-CD and Hil ti TE -YD drill bit) The borehol e mus t be free of dust , debris, water, ice, oil , grease and other c ontami nants prior to m ortar injec tion.
Just before s et ting an anc hor, the bore hol e mus t be free of dus t and debris by one of two cleani ng methods desc ribed below
Compressed air cleaning (CAC)
Blowing 2 ti m es

Bore hol e diamet er
32 mm the compressor must suppl y a minim um air flow of 140 m³/hour.
If required us e addi tional acc essories and extensions for ai r nozzl e and brush t o reach bac k of hole.
Brushing 2 ti m es
with the spec i fied brush HIT-RB
size (brush Ø borehole Ø)
by i nserting the round st eel brus h t o t he back of the hole in a t wisting motion.
The brush shall produce natural resistance as it enters the anchor hol e. If this is not the c ase, pleas e use a new brush or a brush wit h a larger diam eter.
Blowing 2 ti m es
