1 Product Description
DS-51xx series IA Embedded Network DVR is an embedded developing platform which is
compatible with Hikvision Compression Card SDK. Due to the openness of IA structure, various PC
application software can be applied to the product, and provides a flexible embedded hybrid DVR
solution for the software developers or system integrators.

Notice 1: SATA1-2 can be detected by BIOS. Please install the operating system on SATA1 or SATA2.
SATA 3-10 can be recognized after installing Marvell 6145 driver on the operating system.
7. Driver & SDK
DS-52xxHFI-A Series IA Embedded Network DVR has the driver and SDK installation program,
which are named as ―DS5xxx Driver and SDK Install‖. It is used to install the driver and SDK. The
installation window is as below.

The options on this installation program are described as below:
1. Intel Chipset: motherboard chipset driver
2. Realtek HD Audio Driver: integrated audio adapter driver
3. Intel Graphics Driver: integrated display adapter driver

5. MARVELL Sata Driver: driver of the on-board MARVELL chipset for SATA interface
6. DS-5xxx Drivers: embedded system driver
7. Install SDK and Demo: SDK installation
8. Exit: Exit from installation

7.2 SDK & Demo Description
Click ―Install SDK and Demo‖ on the installation main interface to install the SDK.
The SDK installation packet includes ―DS 5xxx Series IA Embedded DVR SDK and Demo‖ and
―DS4xxx Series Card SDK and Demo‖.
"DS5xxx series IA Embedded DVR SDK and Demo" contains embedded DVR system-related
development information and can be applied to receive front panel button or remote controller’s
commands, changing the status of front panel LED, etc; while ―DS4xxx Series Card SDK and Demo‖ is
the card SDK for some local live-view, recording, network transmission, playback, etc on the 50xx
platform. The SDK provides detailed programming guide and open-source demo. Please refer to the
"Read me" file contained in the setup package for detail information.
